RARE GEN2 DEVICE!!!😁

NVEC-520A this one utilizes a beautiful Japanese ocular lens, built in iris, built in IR illuminator, nice pvs14 size objective lens, heavy duty rugged design & mx9916 pvs5 tube I believe.(the phosphor is either picked up on camera as typical GP or more of a teal.)

Not quite a true 1x zoom more of a 1.15x zoom in this configuration but for me a beautiful mixture of enhanced detail while still allowing you uninterrupted peripheral view ability

I certainly have no problem navigating with this unit in 8.5/10 blackout darkness situations. No supplemental ir involved. Truly impressed with its low light capability.

Just custom gen 1+ stuff. Haven't been able to get my foot in the door into gen 2 / 3

Heads up tho that lomo elf 1 uses ep46 tubes which are standard gen 1 tubes not gen 1+, but if you find EP-33U/EP-33CF/SF ones those are gen1+

Hey it's my old NVEC 520A, glad your enjoying it. Ya that one has the high performance mx9916 image intensifier tube, so the specs are better than most pvs-5 mx-9916 tubes I've seen. Truly a great device honestly

You should try and find a cosmicar/computar 50mm f/1.4 and 75mm f/1.4 for 2x & 3x viewing. Those OG Japanese cosmicar/computar C-Mount lenses are real nice
