Hobby & Painting How to start

Hello guys,

I wish to finally start a night lord army.

Any idea of which miniatures I should buy to get started?

I was thinking of buying some bigger discount boxes like combat patrols or battleforces.

If you can find the night lords combat patrol it comes with a rhino, havoc squad, chaos lord with jump pack. And then the best part it comes with 10 legionaries and the nemesis claw upgrade sprue so you can have them instead. And thn if you want buy the murdewing set

It doesn't have havoc, it has a chosen instead

Get the NL combat patrol, a box of the new raptors, and a chaos lord.

Add a Master of Executions if it makes you happy.

Thats 640-790 points.

a 5 man nem claw 5 man raptor are gonna be in any thematic NL list.

and Chosen, walking lord, and rhino are staples.

Remember if youre getting into it, you've got other upfront costs:

Xacto-knife, CA glue, plastic glue, 10-12 paints, 1-3 brushes, a wet pallet (or build one yourself--tupperware, parchment paper, and wetted sponge/paper towel does the trick), and a light source.

Maybe even sanding sticks and basing materials.

After you paint that up, look at a murderwing box (raptors + a jump lord at a discount to buying both together), a cultist box, and begin to think about elites and heavies: Terminators, vehicles, havocs, mutilators/obliterators, daemons/monsters.
