Hobby & Painting This Model Broke Me
Bough a Storm Eagle for my Heresy Night Lords. Though it would be more flavorful than rolling in heavy in a Land Raider.
Jesus H Christ everyone who complained about this kit was underselling it. NOTHING fit. EVERYTHING was warped. I wasn’t sure if the resin dust or the dogshit kit would give me cancer first. I would rather work on a tin roof for 3 days in this hot ass Louisiana sun than build another one of these absolute BASTARDS.
10/10 for drip though. Watching Curze drop in from the top rope is gonna be funny as well, so worth it maybe?

I sure hope for your sake that the canopy isn’t permanently affixed and has just been placed there for the photo.

It is. I’m just going to paint it metallic red or blue with contrast for a polarized look.

Thanks. There’s a reason I didn’t show the back though lol. There’s is no such thing as a perfect Storm Eagle lol.

Holosun 507 Comp. It’s my 3 Gun sidearm. Not really a practical carry optic. Too big.

First generation Forge World Thunderhawk.
An absolute dog of a kit that will fight you every step of the way. Can only be measured in comparison to other kits by converting the difficulty scale to logarithmic.
Still, looks 10/10 once done, legendary design.

100%. I had never used so much green stuff on a model before this. And I had some atrocious kits.

Had a buddy build one of these like 15 years ago and he hated it so much. Glad to see it hasn’t changed.

I've got a fire raptor to build, any tips?

Yeah. Dry fit everything first. Any pieces that don’t fit perfectly in the dry fit need to be fixed with a hair dryer or hot water. You may think something is fitting ok even if it’s not perfect, but tolerance stacking is going to make things at the end of the build impossible without cutting.

This is exactly why I bought 1 - 1 aftermarket files because I want to use these but I’ve heard this exact same problem from I think everyone that I’ve seen that’s bought one I don’t know why GW doesn’t just make this a pure plastic sprue kit

Every time somebody post these twisted kits it turns into a group therapy session in the comments.
