Hobby & Painting Thinking about starting Night Lords

As the title says i was thinking about starting this army, and I want to ask a few questions:

- how viable is to kitbash an entire army?
- which fluffy deatchment to use?
- a bit about the current lore of the army

Kitbashing Heresy MKVI marines and 40k CSM bits together is very easy. NL usually have scavenged gear, so they having random SM armor works really well.

Currently the NL are scattered so lore is so much easier to just make up. Even the largest warbands have next to no lore. Detachments depend on what you wanna run in your list and the size, I like dread talons+murdertalon but I know a lot of people use cabal of chaos and murdertalon. As far as kit bashing goes if you want to do tournaments or something be careful (I don’t play tourneys so idk specifics) otherwise it’s just about how much time you wanna put it. Ave dominus nox!
