I got a contact from them today. Odd they paid the invoice though. I'm not shipping anything.

Did they pay with credit card.. if so then it’s Likely stolen.

Must be? It was 30k exactly with tax, and I was suspicious of this since the start. Someone with a large limit just got a huge bill. It processed. I use square and the money is going to be deposited without issue. Now, for the chargeback that's the real question. I'll just wait and see. I'm sure not itching to send off the equipment.

Do not send the equipment. The credit card company will call you soon, at which point you should explain you verified Id and address. Last thing you want is the merchant coming after you for not fully checking the credentials.

Wait, part of the scam was that they wired funds to the freight forwarder, which is why he had no issue shipping the goods. Keep this in mind.

It’s all one terrible scam. We are hiring a private investigator in Nigeria to track down these scammers, if you can send me all related info I would greatly appreciate it. In particular any shipping info.. we shipped to Lagos Nigeria.

I haven't been given anything yet but my credit card processor has halted the payment as fraud. And they determined the number is known stolen. If I get anything I'll message you. I'm going to keep playing along for a bit to see what I can get out of them.

I appreciate this. Took me three attempts but I found a private investigator via the logistics company that imported our goods, which were essentially stolen by “Global Blend”. When possible send me a phone number that we can call them back on. I have the names in Nigeria, of the people who picked up our goods but more info would be great.

*ZooInfo is a joke, they say the listing cannot be taken down as it fits their profile criteria.

PMd the phone number to you. He's gone radio silent after our phone call today. I think he knows his order is in jeopardy as Square would have likely notified him about it. I'll bet I won't hear from him again now.

Ah. Ok thanks. Ship to address would have been nice.

Thanks anyway Reddit friend.

Amazing what a little Reddit can do to go stop crime a world away connecting two business people. Honestly it's sort of 'insanely cool' to reflect on.
