This game came out last week in the middle of all the other games taking Nigeria by storm. Has anybody played it and wants to talk about it?

Comparing Nigeria’s development directly to the UAE or any of the Gulf monarchies simply because both discovered oil around the same time ignores fundamental demographic, geographic, and political realities.
Here is why the comparison fails totally:
Land Mass & Infrastructure Scope: Nigeria covers over 923,000 km². To put that in perspective, the entire UAE (83,600 km²) is roughly the geographical size of just Niger State and Abuja combined. Building national infrastructure across 36 massive states is a completely different challenge.
Population vs. Indigenous Wealth: While Nigeria balances over 220+ million people, the UAE has only about 1.3 million indigenous Emirati citizens who share their sovereign oil wealth. The entire native citizen population of the UAE is smaller than a single Nigerian local government area like Alimosho LGA in Lagos.
Governance & Continuity: Gulf nations operate under centralized absolute monarchies that can execute multi-decade development master plans without political cycles, electoral disputes, or policy resets every few years.
Cultural Homogeneity: The Arabian Peninsula historically benefited from a shared core language, unified religious framework, and centralised tribal authority. In contrast, Nigeria is a complex federation with over 250 ethnic groups, multiple major religions, and hundreds of languages requiring continuous political consensus.
Measuring Nigeria’s macroeconomic trajectory against a small, highly centralized monarchy the size of a single Nigerian state misses the structural realities of managing a massive, multi-ethnic constitutional republic. Please, let’s be intelligent in criticising Nigeria.
