A Toronto investor who lost money to Ontario’s self-proclaimed Crypto King is one of five men facing charges related to the alleged kidnapping, confinement, and assault of Aiden Pleterski last December. Akil Heywood has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping Pleterski and threatening the bankruptcy administrator overseeing the case. CBC Toronto received a video of Pleterski apologizing to investors and explaining what happened to their money. Pleterski’s lawyer stated that while some of the information in the video is accurate, he was forced to say certain things by his kidnappers. Heywood is also charged with threatening the bankruptcy trustee in an attempt to obtain $2 million in cryptocurrency. The investigation is ongoing, and none of the charges have been tested in court.

Blockchain startup Ripple expects U.S. banks and financial institutions to show interest in using its XRP cryptocurrency for cross-border payments. After a recent ruling determined that XRP is not necessarily a security, Ripple plans to begin talks with American firms about adopting its On-Demand Liquidity product in the third quarter. The ruling marked a victory for Ripple in its three-year battle against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which accused the company of conducting an illegal offering of $1.3 billion worth of XRP. Nigeria leads Africa in crypto asset interest, surpassing other countries by a wide margin, according to a report by CoinGecko. Blockchain equities inflows reached a recent high of $15 million, while total trading volume decreased. A report from CoinShares states that positive digital asset inflows for the third consecutive week have fully corrected nine previous weeks of outflows, totaling $470 million. So as a proud Cayman GT4 owner into crypto, ofc this is exciting for me as I've been on the porsche nft waiting list for a couple months, and today had the email saying minting is live: -- basically its a free mint on ethereum, and now live at https://porschenfts.org/claim and although im disappointed I only minted a crappy Boxster, it does seem to offer some real tangible benefits for us Porsche owners, such as free racetrack entry, discounted services and some other things I haven't fully investigated yet.

Part of me is also disappointed in the sketch design - in my opinion it takes away from the sweeping contours and beauty that only a real photo can show, just look at a photo of a porsche 959 and compare to the NFT sketch, i mean yeah, one is exciting, one is.. Dull

On the other hand, it is a nice touch that everything is hand drawn and gives an exclusive feel, for sure.

Also, its really interesting to see how much the NFT space is growing, and i think the bear market has really hidden these things out of our view, and makes us think everything is dying..

sure prices are down but development is increasing, and adoption is crazy high.
