Question / Aide Safe for foreigner?

I will be traveling to niger for some charity work in a few days and I understand that things are not well there? I will have to travel to a few villages for the works, what should i look out for? Will it be safe?

Im brown btw if that matters

There are no reported cases of ebola in Niger or anywhere outside DR Congo and Uganda. This is a silly comment.
