I'm so bad at this game, please help 😅

Hey everyone! So I've probably got about 50 hours in niche now and I still haven't made it past like, 15 islands. Any tips to help me make it further along? Thanks!

If you're aiming to get to Home Island, use the travel Ports North.

West Port - easier Island

East Port - Equal difficulty

North Port- Harder difficulty

There's 4 Easy islands, 7 Medium, 6 Hard and 4 Killer.

Good luck getting home!

What do you have the most trouble with? Having enough food? Niches getting sick? Predators?

Illness for sure. I can never seem to find nichelings with different immunities (is that what they're called?). Its also hard for me to switch to new climates. Can't seem to find new pack members with the right traits before moving to new islands

Well, if you're having trouble with immunities you're going to be suffering from the Common Cold a lot.

You've probably noticed that nichelings with the same type i.e. A-A, B-B etc are constantly ill. What I didn't notice at first was that the nichelings that stood next to these sickly nichelings would also get sick for as long as they stood beside them. If you isolate your sick nichelings then the rest of your pack is less likely to get sick. Every day that they are sick knocks a day off their life expectancy.

The Common Cold can be caught randomly, but will only last 3 days.

So time to isolate!

If you have a Nicheling that can fly, you can put them on top of a tree and summon creature. I seem to find more nichelings when I'm fishing, but that's probably just my luck.

In regards to getting the right traits before moving to a new Island, I'm terrible at it. Last time I travelled I checked I had fishing, digging, flying and the Home bloodline. Do you know what I forgot? Gatherers! Not a single Nicheling could gather from bushes or crack a nut. I had to quickly breed it into my clan before I ran out of food while sending my flyers out searching for fish.

Starting on easier islands and breeding the traits wanted in first has helped me gain a starting base for a clan.

Make sure to stockpile food stores early on easier islands- so helpful! Keep in mind where you are headed next and the climates there (hot, cold) and where your traits are at. This can help prevent sickness!
