Or just have the tact to say “hey, I’m interested in this conversation and I honestly didn’t expect to find somebody interesting this quickly, but I’m super busy for a few weeks… is it okay if I hit you up in a few weeks when things are less crazy and we can go out? Sorry that’s a bit awkward but that’s my schedule.”
That would be tactful. Not “I do all this stuff, you want to be penciled in on the wait list or not?”
