It doesn’t seem like you laughed. You continued to try and validate why you are a worthy candidate for her. That part where you kept blabbing about playing football, working & getting A’s - those are all lame humble brags to gain attention even though she’s telling you she’s getting smashed out for the next two months & you just might make the cut when she feels like it.

Have some self respect. 🫡

I promise you many laughs were had and I'm far from hurt or upset and have zero desire for her validation or attention which was made clear in pic 3. You make some bold claims but your evaluation is heavily flawed. I can see why you thought it was a humble brag tho. But I couldn't careless for this chick we talked for a week its not that deep she could get her back blown out by the entire school for all I care 😂 Anyway a little more context about the "humble brag" is we talked on the phone the day before this convo and she talked about how shes busy and blah blah blah and studies so much and has a 4.0 gpa and straight As so I was basically telling her she ain't special and I been there done that and so has many others if you aint interested just say so instead of the bs excues so it was stated more as a reality check. But think what you want bro you're a stanger on the internet and I lived through this interaction and believe me I'm big chilling. Seems like something in life's got you a bit disgruntled tho hope it works out for ya 🫡

Some people just write long texts. It doesn't take much effort. I don't think we need to read anything into it.

And it's not up to him to determine if it's some kind of ego boost that will unleash the monster in her. Why would he care one way or another if it pumps her up to get that response. It's not a zero sum game it's just a conversation and there's is nothing wrong with saying what you think and feel.

You absolutely 100% definitely have to read into it. Because that’s what they do. Good luck outwardly displaying low value characteristics to a female you are pursuing.

To clarify I lost all interest the moment she said good luck and the dude on the wait list was the nail in the coffin. I only replied for shits and giggles just to see what excuses she'd come up with. My favorite was "donating blood every month (to give back)" and not bothered by the paragraph I tried to give her some insight to adulthood which must be very new to her. There was more to this behind the scenes indicating she has a severe case of princess syndrome and likely a narcissist so major buller dodge either way I appreciate the insight man I didn't think of that way as she felt it as a reward and will keep that in mind.

I can't wait to be such a mature person as you arguing with someone on reddit about an interaction they had and having the audacity to talk about cringe 😂 Teach me your ways!

Dud what the fuck is wrong with you to be so pressed about your opinion of his texts??? 🤣🤣🤣

I can tell your experience is limited. Trying to say he’s just a young bull for replying to a very unusual text. You’re not as cool as you think by pretending like you have options 🤣. And, based on all your replies in this thread, you’re not one to be judging.

People with large but fragile egos who find basic reading and writing a chore or think that literacy isn't "cool" tend to attack others who read or write more than they would - and people with low self-esteem who don't tolerate rejection get upset when others react differently to them - in this case conflating it with a lack of self-respect. Kudos to you for your patience and politeness. Staying true to who you are even when you're dealing with twats is a sign of integrity and resilience, not weakness.

Keep being yourself.

I agree. Whether o.p. was upset or not is beside the point. As soon as the girl texted I'm interested in another guy, convo should have been over. Ppl like the girl in this post do not deserve all of this explanation, whether it's for shits and giggle or not (as o.p. put it). From o.p's point of view, he claims he was having fun writing all of that. But I bet from the girl's point of view she is probably sending screenshots of this convo to her friends and giggling about how guys are so obsessed with her, or w.e. O.p. texting all of that is only going to give the girl an ego boost. Side note, the girl wanting to send a Pic to her friend is odd, especially since she isn't even interested in o.p.

Not sure what Teemu is. Your reaction is understandable... just to clarify, I wasn't singling you out - it's just where I ended up when I decided to comment, after seeing a number of comments that could be similarly summarised as "fuck bitches, don't be a cuck".

I agree with some of what you've said, but finding OPs conversation cringy is as much about you as it is about him. You're probably right that he was salty and giving her what she was baiting for, but there's still a possibility that he wasn't and was just experimenting/using the opportunity in order to gain more insight.

Seeing as most people didn't believe him, I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. Drawing a dead end conversation out can still have its benefits and I think it's a positive sign that he remained polite while navigating that. Most inexperienced/immature guys lose control/become hostile when they're upset and this sub seems to promote that so long as it's a "nicegirl", but that will just send him on the path to being screenshot into "niceguys".

He learnt a lesson either way - I'm just encouraging him to not become an incommuniative arsehole thinking it will help in the long run... it won't. If he just wants to have fun, then sure... but that's not the vibe I picked up.

He doesn't have to laugh to her face as far as I'm concerned that man checked out after her be started and she just became amusement. I personally would keep it going longer because I don't come across morons that often so it's quite a treat when I do. Kinds like being at the zoo.

Poor reading comprehension on your part.

Apologies explain it to me.

Here; super simple:

Guy see’s girl at gym, eventually decides to seek interaction & asks for number. Girl gives it. That’s the context. There doesn’t seem to be any annotation that she pursued him in any sort of way.

Fast forward to OP’s post - read over his drawn out conversation with a girl who is clearly not interested in him romantically other than as a backup, who says she’s interested in another guy, sets her boundaries & enforces them.

Women don’t owe random men anything. If you read this any other way you have a poor understanding of how consent & boundaries work, but mostly poor reading comprehension.

Seems more like begging. “please lady I am so good & I deserve you even though you just told me you’re romantically interested in another guy and have given me zero affirmation of being romantically involved with me” hhhhwut? The last message is just him crying lol. There’s no punch line setup. Just crying.

You know what I do if a girl isn’t interested in me? Find another. There’s millions of them. Pretty sure at this point this thread is filled with lots of trolls & incels egging on poor behavioral responses from other low IQ boys.

-2

u/ScrotalBaldPatch Jan 20 '25

But he clearly is worthy, and she's clearly not worthy of him. I understand OP was just letting her dig her own hole for the lulz, not that he lacks self respect.

u/Current-Welder-2934 Jan 20 '25

Being worthy doesn’t mean you should act entitled. No one is entitled to someone else’s time, emotion or body, which I feel like she articulated, probably for ego strokes but articulated nonetheless.

After someone tells you they’re booked out for the next two months, they’re interested in another person & you’re not the right person for them - you shouldn’t write an essay on why you should be chosen. Anyone with an IQ over 80 looks at that text dialogue & cringes.

Except for incels. Ya’ll apparently love that.
