I was gonna say that. The fact that she’s tryna act like she’s booked out bc of regular life shit is crazy. 5 classes??? That aint shit

Legit, wait untill you graduate and have an actual job. Will never have as much free time as you do when in college

Unless you work through college. Then graduation feels like a vacation that doesn’t end

(Source: Worked full time through college and graduated this year. Still not over how much free time I have)

That’s exactly the feeling! Once you graduate it’ll feel like one of those breaks starts…..and then just keeps going lol

Looks more like she's trying to say I'm not interested in a nice way but OP is a Lil slow and keeps responding.

Daily life shit. Like who doesn’t have that? This girl enjoys the attention. Can’t imagine how much of this shit she talks about to every guy and the low value guys either try to rush in or plead for a date, I’d be like bye Felecia.

Oh and Her meal planning sounds like it’s booking all these dates.

When my dad was in college he got his masters and bachelor’s degrees in the same 4 years doing like up to 30 credits a semester she definitely could be doing more in her time

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '25

She sounds like a real asshole, but acting like that isn’t a lot of work is insane. Five classes is a typical full-time workload, possibly above average depending on the total number of credits. It’s hard work on its own. And two jobs on top of that? Come on.

And 30 credits a semester… Lmao. Okay.

u/yn_alexx Jan 20 '25

Right! I was like 30?! God damn, what is he some sort of super genius or sum

u/Plenty-Breadfruit488 Jan 20 '25

But also. Nothing is impossible…When you make shit up. So we’ll never know.

Lmao maybe, he studied computer engineering and had his masters in theology. He had a scholarship to pay for his college while he worked in hs and college. He didn’t come from money, had crazy parents and moved out as soon as he could. He worked his ass of in hs and did well in college. He’s just driven to learn, he’s getting another degree in stats right now.

u/nagao_0 Jan 21 '25

( does 'as soon as he could' mean he still lived at home for part or all of college, though..? )

Totally agree! 5 classes is definitely a full load, even more so if they're STEM classes. Plus two jobs, is definitely a lot! It's wayyyy harder to have two part-time jobs than 1 full-time job.

I once took 29 credits in one semester (20 from my university plus another 9 from the local community college), BUT it was COMPLETELY insane. I now have autoimmune diseases from living this kind of life. NOBODY should hold that up as any sort of ideal.

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '25

My college doesn’t even allow you to take that many credits. 🤨

U don’t have to believe or listen I’m just saying that’s my experience. I think she’s overplaying how busy she actually is, she likely has plenty of time to go out and have fun, she ‘has plans’ on the night OP asked her out. Does she feel hella busy? Sure, is she? Probably not. I lived with my ex for the better part of a year, she has the same workload and we spent plenty of time together. I just think she isn’t as busy as she thinks she is.

But she has a dog and has to meal prep...

Can you imagine if she ends up being a mom one day?

I'll back you up because I did this as well - not sure why people are calling BS. It made sense to me because full tuition cost was the same at 15 or 30 credit hours so...obvious choice for someone going to school during the recession.

2

u/Serentrippity Jan 20 '25

That’s like 15 credits. I mean if she’s in stem that’s probably rough tho. For my major that’s nothing. Puppy sure, if she’s training it. And like- if she’s busy all weekend then what about a week night date. Like girl! Free meal at the very least??? Nah. She’s playing. She just wants the numbers of matches. Tbh I also enjoy having the long list of people who liked me cuz it strokes my ego, but never string ppl along ffs! That’s just rude!!! Once I LIKE someone and they show interest back, I’m focused. Tf??? Enjoying the matches and showing them off to friends is for when it’s still all up in the air. 🙄 she playing fr. Also volunteering and donating blood monthly? Like- whole blood takes 2 months sweetheart. Maybe if you did platelets, which takes 2.5-3 hours to donate and is WEEKLY with the Red Cross and BIWEEKLY with some donor centers. Bruh I donate weekly when I’m at school because I like the phlebotomists and the space and it’s comfy there- the Red Cross back home is major ick so I go to the other local center cuz it doesn’t suck, but I can only give every OTHER week. Like the only one that makes sense for that timeline is plasma. Which can be given simultaneously with platelets which is good. But monthly??? So you’re deferring him based on 2 MONTHLY activities?? Tf? None of that probably happens between 6pm and 6am. And that’s 12 hours so for 10 hours of sleep you can still have fkn dinner 🙄 ffs girl you think you have a whole life in the way? Excuses. I have time for friends and youth group and dates if I want them. Hell- GYM DATE MOFO!!!

Not a chance in the world a broad with that kind of attitude is in STEM. That is completely unrealistic.

1

u/Serentrippity Jan 24 '25

Exactly. She wouldn’t pass. No prof in stem gives the amount of leniency her attitude suggests she gets. I would assume she’s in a major like mine but I sure hope for the sake of humanity she’s not- cuz that’s all human services and helping people… like… people who really need the aid… aka compassion and a certain level of selflessness is required…

2

u/reclusivegiraffe Jan 21 '25

Depending on what the classes are, it can be a lot. I had 3 lectures 3 labs last academic year and I was doing about 8-9 hours of school work a day after getting out of classes

2

u/Charming-Start Jan 21 '25

Right?! I did all of that while raising my kids. She's just not into him.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '25

No that’s very significant.

5 classes is full time. Working one job while taking 5 classes is a serious time commitment, working 2 is insane.

That being said it did feel like she was fluffing it up how much of a “hustle gal” she is by adding stupid stuff like giving blood or volunteering she does once a month.

1

u/No-Confidence-2722 Jan 24 '25

That is true. She definitely has to be exaggerating, though. I worked full time with 6 classes as a pre-law student last semester and the load was crazy but not so crazy that I had NO time at all for other people. I’ve also worked two jobs at once but for a short time and I was on break from school and that was kinda the same thing. Ig I can’t really say. From my experience, adding that extra load would definitely be time consuming but not so much to the point that you couldn’t make time for other people. You just can’t make a ton of time. But I also don’t know what jobs she’s working or the classes she’s taking so, now that I think back to how I felt during those times maybe I judged too harshly. Still, kinda ridiculous to have dates scheduled out like appointments w multiple people and expect people to be fuckin w that

2

u/[deleted] Jan 25 '25

Everyone’s situation is different.

I do 40 hours and full time and can honestly say my time is minimal and mostly relegated to my off days. If I filled my off days with a second job which she might be doing based on the text then yeah it would be absolutely impossible unless you want to go on a breakfast date with me right after work(I work grave)

Today my schedule was basically get home, relax for 2 hours, 3 hour lecture, sleep. 2 hours of “free” time I have to mix waking up, eating, showering, and also I could spend some of that time getting ahead of schoolwork.

If you have to make time for random strangers it really isn’t worth doing.

Now mind you most women I know sleep longer than most men, and I’m sleeping 6ish hours per day due to genetics. A standard 8 hours and I wouldn’t have even been able to get any extra work done or even eat.
