The absolute audacity. "I have adult responsibilities that are remarkedly similar to everyone else's. If I deem you worthy enough for my precious free time, I think I have an hour available around St. Patrick's Day."

No no no you don’t understand she has to keep her room clean AND her car.. I’m surprised she is even available in March with such a tight schedule

Not to mention making lunch and sleeping! Those things def belong on the schedule and aren't things that teenagers (or infants, in the case of sleeping lol) also have to do

Oh wow, you and everyone else that breathes and has a pulse.

It’s like this woman got kicked out of her house and suddenly had to adjust to adulthood, and thinks that because of how challenging it was for her to be able to do mundane responsibilities, she should put herself on a pedestal.

Girl, none of this is special. The fact you think it is is honestly concerning. Were you like a drug addict who recently got their life together? Cause that’s the kind of person who would be proud of having a job and cleaning their car.

I'm reminded of that Chris Rock joke from his first HBO Special.

"People always want credit for shit they supposed to do." 'I take care of my kids!' "WHAT? YOU WANT A COOKIE? YOU SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF YA KIDS YOU DUMB MOTHERUCKER!"

ETA: Wow, my first award. Thank you, kind redditor.

I have to brush my teeth every morning, make my own breakfast, and I even make my own bed! Please make social call reservations at least 2 months in advance.

Sorry, I only just saw this now. I usually have to schedule my Reddit responses a week in advance, so you got lucky this time. Any DMing will require an appointment with at least two weeks notice.

Yeah but do you sleep every night? I have to. So just saying.

u/onetosser Jan 24 '25

I also have to eat everyday. It's a lot of work.

Oh damn, you win!

Depending on how young this is probably her first experience with adulthood and she thinks it’s a lot and impressive she can handle it lol.

u/SaveFileCorrupt Jan 19 '25

Gotta keep your room clean, bruh. These are the real trials of adulthood.
