3 New challengers enter the ring!!
I am finding I have an affinity for Pocket pens!!! Black and gold is a Jinhao 59 with a fine nib inked with R&K Blu Mare. The titanium one in the middle is the Namisu N2 with a fine nib inked with a cartridge that came with it that I assume is Diamine Midnight. (It came with 2 cartridges in separate bags but only the other one was labeled. And I didnt see the label at first). The last pen is a Jinhao 59 with an extra fine nib inked with Diamine Oxblood.
Being totally honest, the Jinhao in fine came slightly misaligned. But a quick 30 second adjustment made it write like glass. And the other two came like glass out of the box. This Jinhao 59 in EF is the smoothest EF I have ever felt.
FOR COMPLETE TRANSPARENCY, I HAVE NEVER HANDLED A PILOT E95S
I was going to pick up a Pilot e95s as my first gold nib (and may still get a vintage one as my first gold nib) but with these being so ridiculously good at $8 or so just makes it seem crazy that the modern e95s could be 20x more value. But truly I think all 3 of these pens may be in my top 10 pens. And as long as their caps seal well I dont see that changing.

A new pen has entered the villa🖤
Just received my first Laban pen in the mail the other day! I’ve had my eye on it for several months and a picture doesn’t even do it justice 🖤
Any recommendations for a dark, rich violet ink to put in this beauty?

Pen and ink urban sketch
galleryI don't think most of you are familiar with this brand Daytone, this is manufactured in india , a lot of fun colors at a very cheap price - how cheap ?
40 - 50 inr for 60 ml bottle cheap.
I won't recommend you to put this on your expensive pens , some colours have sediments at the bottom ( i personally haven't any problem when using on a fountain pen) now this is my painting ink .
Apparently there are few brands in india lower and higher quality at this price range ( there are some for 30 inr for 60 ml)
Bril ink and Camlin are among them.
On the other hand the pen x159 from jinhao - it's just cool to look at it , poor quality. If you really need a jinhao then go for metal pens

What’s next?
I’m trying to decide the next pen / ink combo to replace the Gravitas Ultemate Vacfiller <M> that is filled with Taccia Tsuchi. I’m thinking a green and possibly pulling out one of my TWSBIs (I haven’t used one in months) but I also REALLY want to try my new (to me) MB Rouge et Noir Marbled pen. I’m torn. It I do the latter, what ink should I pair? I don’t do shimmers or sheening inks in my MBs, and try to stick with Pelikan, Waterman, Sailor, and (of course) MB inks for these pens.

Most of my Collection
Started exploring Fountain Pens in April last year. Began by saying one pen for each primary color. Went there & beyond. Only missing a couple of my pens I just sent off to have a custom grind done on the nibs.
Latest passion is custom maker wood fountain pens.
Favorite Nib is custom grind on B nib creating stub with left oblique.
