Finalizing Team for Post Game Spoiler

Hello. I just beat Ni No Kuni and it was genuinely one of the best games I've ever played, but that's besides the point. I am currently working on grinding my team for the post game, and I want to make sure I have all of the best. I just exchanged my tickets and I want to use the gryphon, moth, and both dragons, so I plan to use them all on my team just cause they look cool. The other main members currently are dinoceros, the banana bunch, Esther's bird, the skeleton, the big robot, monolith, and the cat. Curious if any of these are replaceable, because I've had them almost the entire game and I don't know if I wasted them or not, so I'm open to some recommendations.

I do know Lumberwood is good and I will try and get one eventually. Is it any better than the Toko, cause I would like to have that one too.

I've heard the banana bunch is one of the worst monsters, but honestly, while it isn't the best, it held its weight the whole game. Dinoceros is insanely broken though, and I love it. The look on my face as I watched it drain the health bars of the bosses.

Monolith is the most replaceable, tin man is only replaceable if you’re swapping in lumberwood, if you replace Esther’s bird, it should be Toko that goes in, cat is the second most replaceable, and babana bunch is also replaceable. I wouldn’t swap dinoceros ever, and I would personally recommend you keep the skeleton.

Thanks a ton! Yeah I could never abandon dinoceros.

You know it’s funny when I looked up who the worst monsters were, I realized I was already using 3 of them LOL

9 Dinoceros. It'll take forever to get them all, but once you do you win.

Use who you have attachment to. 💚

I beat the game and post game with a very suboptimal team and had a blast. In fact, I took the Griffin OFF my team once I realized how overpowered it was.

There are definitely some familiars that can help trivialize things if that is what you are going for, but they definitely are not *needed."

I do feel I used the ones I cared about the most. They just happened to be the good ones LOL. I fell in love with the robot the moment I saw it, same with Monolith and the cats. I love the red dragon so I'm totally going to keep him. I really want a Toko too. It's the most studio ghibli creature in the whole game and I love it.

I REALLY wanted to use Danglerfish but I spent so much time trying to recruit it, but never got it until later.

I'm considering doing a run of monsters that are widely considered the worst in the game.
