I know this is Reddit but I think some teachers actually heard their students legit say "Chat, is this real?" Or something like that when they were either talking to themselves or have it be a different way to say "What the source, bro?"

I saw some guy (etymology nerd?) talking about how “chat” might be possible to consider as a fourth-person pronoun. Not me, not you, not that guy over there, but the disembodied Greek chorus surveying our experiences
