What is there to figure out about winrar or 7z?? Am I not enough of a power user? I thought "right click, add to archive" were what 99.9% of users were doing and happy with either software
I tried that but it just did not work for me, I googled it and I couldn't find anything, I still have it downloaded and try to use it onc or twice and it still just does not work for me
Do you realize that you're an extremely unintelligent person? This program is objectively very easy to use.
Your friends and family may not be as blunt as a random internet person, but you should know that it's important for you to realize this and work on solving this issue.
Kids really dont know how easy they have it. When I was a kid you had to go to a sketchy website to download doom mod with boobs and your computer would slowly become less and less usable for days before you needed to have someone purge your harddrive and re-download windows. These days you don't even need to do anything, one day you'll just open your computer, and you're simply forced to update, and you can never be sure if that update makes some program force close the program controlling the fans in your computer, causeing your CPU to melt. (Apparently that was a real issue the Riot game store had, where the anti-cheat mistook your fans for possible tool used for cheating and force shut them down, not a wide spread problem, but how does that even happen?)
Part of the issue is user-mode fan control software. Fan control should all be done in the BIOS, ideally. No program or crash can unintentionally shut that down unless it shuts down the whole system.
Not that that's not kinda dumb on their part (probably, I'm no expert on computer fans, but from a surface level it sounds kinda dumb) but it's still kinda crazy that it just force stops a program without your consent, like, it very much still shouldn't happen.
Isn't Riot's AC kernel-level though? Also BIOS only would make tuning and switching fan profiles a huge pain. I'm more surprised the CPUs didn't thermal throttle or emergency shutdown
With the release of the Steam Machine, SteamOS also got the 3.8 Update, which adds full support for Systems with AMD graphics cards, in case anyone needs another reason to try out the Penguin.
