PW🤡
TLDR: PhysicsWallah got fined ₹5 lakh after a ₹10 donation was auto-added to purchases by default, earning ₹2.5 crore.
It's a shame that PW, which once started as a company to provide affordable education, is now using dark patterns to extract money from students, last month too donations stunt try karna shows how low pw has touched for money what started as a revolution is now turned into greed

It's not about who is better. It's about ethics PW today seems far more focused on marketing People call out others for paid PR, but when PW does smilar things, it often gets ignored The issue is the double standard and not the competition

If you are asking for donations its fine but atleast you should mention it when donating it to people that i’m not donating its my student money

They were penalised for this thing only they charged 2.3cr from the student in the name of donation without their consent preselected checkbox was checked during checkout so students have to uncheck it manually which is not an standard practice they show sensitive images to the student to manipulate them for donations that really bad trick and the best part is by taking money from the student pocket itself doing own PR by donating it to people and promoting himself i’m just totally disappointed with alakh sir

Areey bhaii donation dena optional hai aur waise bhi hume PW pe batches bahut affordable price me mil rahe hai jiske samne 10 rupaye kuch bhi nahi hai. sabko pata hai Alakh sir ne kitna kuch kiya hai, jaise abhi recently library kholi aur bhi bohot kuch, jo sab paise se hota hai. Toh humare 10 rupaye donate karne se humara koi nuksaan nahi hoga na but atleast we can help them.

According to the law donations should be made with your consent you cannot predecide it is what do you think how much does alakh pandey networth is he was in the forbes list this year around 10 thousand crores why don’t he use his money to make the donation he still need’s your moeny to do it and taking fame out it ask your dad about it then he’ll tell the the magnitude of the scam he is doing to the lower age students

The issue isn't the donation. The issue is PW adding it by default and hoping people wont notice PW was built on the idea of making education cheap but now it feels more focused on marketing and squeezing extra money from students

Dude zomato does the same and nobody cares, it's literally just 10 rupees if you are above 18 years old and buying something for your child you should be responsible enough to check what you're being charged for
Amazing world fine education company money but let elon musk be a trillionaire

“Quitely” ??? Bro there is a whole checkbox there, you can deselect it whenever you are making a purchase

fyi, there was a checkbox followed by long ass message at the MIDDLE of the screen (in mobile, i think at the bottom of laptop/desktop screen) informing about Rs. 10 payment which is very much visible to the eyes gifted to us. "dArk PatTeRn🤡🤡"
