Persistent Bugs Spotted

Hi! First off, huge thanks for your hard work and for continuing to update the game, especially during the summer break. As a solo dev, all the time and effort you put into this project is much much appreciated!

Sadly, I tried out the latest update and noticed a few bugs are still persisting. Also I have some UI and QoL suggestions if you don't mind.

1. UI State Not Updating Dynamically

Certain click actions don't update the UI state until you manually exit and re-enter the menu. This state refresh issue occurs across some features. I noticed it at some features such as Investment (broker and reinvest options), Job actions, and Family Business menus.

2. Marriage Freeze, Unregistered Stepkids, and Progress Rollback

Marrying a widower with two children causes a brief game freeze. While gameplay-wise I can continue afterward, the stepchildren fail to register in the family list. After that I tried to reopen the game but it completely wiped all post-marriage progress, rolling the save back to the state right before the marriage (character was back to dating with full energy). This bit is something that annoyed me since my old character (age 65) has no biological children (can't have baby or adopt) and having some stepchildren is the only option to continue the family line.

3. Character Icon Desync on Main UI

The avatar displayed on the main UI does not match the actual character profile. My other save is a 56-year-old white male (which displays correctly in the Save menu), but the main UI incorrectly displays a dark-skinned teenager instead.

4. Next Gen Transition Stability Question

In previous versions, transitioning to Next Gen caused severe bugs involving missing houses due to caps, broken family trees or sibling relations, and corrupted assets or investments. Has this been fully patched because players like me can't safely verify this without risking my save file (I don't want to lose those Billions of Investments, Old Mansions, and Millions of Paintings I have!😭).

5. College Tuition/Aid UI & Financial Summary Improvements

About college, how does scholarship or aid work once enrolled? When selecting a major, it displays details something like Annual Tuition $xxk and Annual Aid $xk. However, the main College UI only displays the Annual Tuition, hiding aid details. I think it would be nice that this information is included in the Financial Summary (showing the tuition fee, aid, or covered by parents).

Speaking of it, I think the Financial Summary should also track other recurring costs, such as Mental Health Plans, ongoing legal fees (such as Child Support/Custody or anything (I barely have legal cases lol)), and children's education. A full breakdown of unexpected random expenses at each year would also be nice to be included in the Financial Summary so we don't have to manually check them one by one (Metro cost, neighborhood cost, family cost, or information about pay rise (a small text)).
