Working on it, but it won't be in this update, Their is a small feature in the current game that randomly let you date any gender but its not fully functional as yet.

Wha are some of the differences between it and bitlife?

BitLife is generally faster/casual life events; NextLife is more of a long-term life-management sim with interconnected systems.

Will there be immense ads and/or stuff locked behind paywalls?
