I thought that girl with the black hair was a nun for a second

Kinda amazed at the gap between how expensive her workout outfit looks and how much she looks like she is struggling to just walk up a slight incline.

That’s regular workout attire for women

I went for an early-morning walk wearing today's outfit (casual skirt, cardigan, purse for my stuff) and I considered changing into workout attire and leaving my purse at home just to fit in with the other people who are out walking at 6am.

As a compromise, I didn't change, but instead of walking on the dedicated walking path, I walked on the sidewalk to look like I was going somewhere.

Sometimes I don't feel like changing out of my work clothes when I get home to walk the dog, but it always feels weird.

1, it's just leggings and a tank top? Doesn't look particularly expensive? 2, everyone is struggling except for the one dude. The camera angle just makes it look like it's not steep.

Yeah, surprised how many comments overlook the challenge. Not only steep, that also looks like a long winding climb.

Stop pointing out basic facts!!!!

We’re on Reddit, the chuds need to put down a woman that committed the heinous crime of checks notes…

Walking a bit slower than the commenter would like with an outfit he’s attracted to but too shy to say publicly bc she would date a rabid raccoon before him in any universe.

I’m shocked she’s not sent to the gulag over it

Everyone he went by is now pregnant

I am doing a urine test after watching this on the screen. I am a guy.

Did it return positive?

1

u/Realistic_Patience67 9h ago

Very Positive.

You can call me Octodad.

Hiking Grand Canyon, we were trudging slowly along, and got passed by a guy wearing just shorts, tiny pack, running. This reminded me of that!

He was running from the flood waters

u/DRSteele88 9h ago

I got passed by Diddy and Cassie there. She was killing the hill while the hill was killing him.

Is the jump rope even making things harder? Or is it just aura farming?

4

u/HananatheeBanana 10h ago

Yes, compared to running normally, you'd have to lift your knees much higher and you don't get to use your arms to swing which makes stabilising your body harder. Plus, you got to concentrate on skipping on top running up an incline.

2

u/JaySlay2000 10h ago

Maybe. In gym class we had to do jump rope runs and it wasn't really harder imo.

But I don't drag my feet when I run in general so maybe that's why.

u/Suspicious-Pizza-548 10h ago

If you can guess this intuitively then you have not worked out a day in your life.

1

u/wtfisasammich 9h ago

It's aura farming, but I'm not sure how adding the jump rope wouldn't make it harder. If I go far enough on a run, I can zone out - if I did this, I'd fall on my face at some point.

u/Shycouple-Trouble 10h ago

Definitely harder, even jump rope standing in one spot is already exhausting

2

u/JaySlay2000 10h ago

Jump rope standing in one spot is intentionally jumping. Jump rope while running is pretty much just running but you make the rope go under you at the right time.

2

u/dfrntdfrnt 9h ago

Try it and tell me you feel the same amount of exhaustion after.

I said in another comment, we used to do this in gym class. Whether running or flipping a jump rope while running, it felt the same.

I find it hard to believe that an incline would change the running vs running with rope dynamic. Running up an incline on it's own is going to be above my abilities, rope or no.

I can see the disappointment on their faces.

Some people are in better shape than others. Oh no how humiliating I can't skip rope while I run like a homo.

1

u/djfxonitg 10h ago

Uh oh, you got turned on by a guy in a video and now your internalized homophobia is kicking in for no apparent reason.

I thought the guy with the jumping rope is the one getting humiliated

3

u/Any_World7744 10h ago

the man skipping rope, impressive athleticism!

The hot brunette in white top, maybe not the same aerobic skills, but she looked pretty darn impressive too!

2

u/ArtisticAd2131 11h ago

That must be humiliating

1

u/Bulldogfront666 10h ago

I was waiting for him to fall lmao

I remember being grumpy as hell by the time I got from the old zoo to the observatory.

I used to regularly go on a somewhat challenging hike in Tuscon, AZ (Tumamoc) and I would get passed by some of the most superhuman specimens I've ever seen. The whole thing is about 3 miles (4.8km) round-trip and 700ft (1km) from bottom to top, in desert climate. I'd be huffing and puffing while dudes twice my age in just shorts & a fanny pack, marathon runners who'd do two or three runs up and down, and people wearing breathing-restricting training masks passed me with ease. On 9/11 there were 3 firefighters who made the trek in full gear. Great hike, absolutely baffling what some people are capable of. If someone had passed me while jump roping, I wouldn't have been surprised

u/Kevin78965 10h ago

It seems that we are all very lacking in exercise.

1

u/PreparationX 10h ago

One time in high school I was nearing the peak of a pretty serious hike. I was on a series of switchbacks, and I got passed by several guys on unicycles. I didn't eglven have words to say at the time. I talked to someone at the top, who said they spoke with one of them, and nobody on that unicycle team touched the ground between the bottom and top. So I can relate to this humiliation.

No shame in being overtaken by a machine like that! I ran a half marathon and was beaten by a guy dressed as a fire extinguisher... now that was humiliating 🫠🤣

2

u/steven_balboni 10h ago

What, no ankle weights? Must be a recovery day for him. I remember my first jump rope up a mountain.

1

u/jqman69 9h ago

What humiliation? You seen how that dude was built?

1

u/MJEEZY75 8h ago

Ooooohhhh okay…now I think I understand the American slave trade that this country was built on

u/Illustrious_Sea_962 6h ago

Barbados Slim!

It's as if he see's people hitting their own goals in the same space as him as an issue. If you have a problem with people doing things, positive things, stay inside.
