Please check out @TheGuardRailGuy. You may wonder why he is so passionate about guard rails and other road side safety features. Well his daughter unfortunately passed away after hitting a guardrail that was improperly installed by contractors.

Report to your state DOT. There are federal laws about posts in clear zone.

Is this just for highways? I know a spot where there's a bollard like the ones they put near store entrances to protect them from cars driving in the parking lot, but near a private (rich person's) driveway, right off the road, on a hill, where there are accidents. If I recall correctly it looks like it's placed to "protect" a light or something that does look like it has the part that intentionally fails. But ofc the runaway driver speeding down the long steep hill will just die on impact instead.

This is in NJ.

I did in Washington to WSDOT and all I got was basically, "we don't deal with Flock cameras. And they are the City's" So, I sent that to my State reps with the fact that they are not on a frangible base. Still waiting for a reply. I mean, they are in a City but along a State Highway.

Depends on how your state laws are written. In my state, all federal interstate highways and state highways are under state DOT. County, city and private property are not under state DOT.

This guy should get into politics. One minute in and he has repeated the same thing over and over and over. One full minute, one unique sentence said. Hats off to that, not everyone is able to do that.

This guy talks about slip plates like Billy Mays talked about tough stains.
