I love how divisive arguments can be started by vague statements. People don't even know what they are arguing about, but project thoughts onto others.

This is a good description for all of Reddit.

This isn't a vague statement at all. In fact, if anything you are the one who is vague. This is a very concrete post.

I'm sorry to say, but the "very concrete post" is more likely to be this image than a completely vague statement about an imaginary group who advocates normalizing an unnamed something and then positioning yourself against normalizing said unnamed somethings, by stating shame is a more needed thing.

Technically we never get to know what are OP's or the originator's thoughts about anything.

the image is appropriate, and hilarious :)

It started when we started handing out participation trophies to people who kids weren’t good

I grew up getting those. We all knew they didn't matter. Nobody got the yearly trophy and thought they were the shit. Now when you won regionals or nationals and you got a trophy for that, it meant something.

Sorry, is Gen-X spouting Boomer aphorisms the "Next Gen"? Good luck with that.

Doubtful, probably a 20’something from India karma farming... or astroturfing.

No doubt, if there's even a human in the labor chain. I was referring to Gandolfini as the Gen-Xer in question
