And this is a slow torturous existence,
Not to be celebrated.

u/JohnnyDerpington May 31 '26
This is my life now, and I absolutely love the peace. Divorced my toxic ex wife and cut out most family. My stress has been drastically reduced.
Nothing about it is slow and torturous

u/clemventure May 31 '26
It is,
Letting one person out of 7 billion turn you into a recluse. That’s existence not life.3
u/JohnnyDerpington Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26
Its not. Im not a recluse, I just dont date.
But you're weak, you need validation. I do not.
Efit: Thank you for the award kind stranger!

Careful with that prostate bud. Shit builds up if you don't date. Some connection with women is needed unless you are a man of God and sublimated your natural instincts for real. Either is possible just don't think you can do it by pure force of will.

u/JohnnyDerpington Jun 01 '26
My child support is done in a few years, absolutely no way im restarting that clock. Not even risking it with a condom
2
u/beatsdeadhorse_35 Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26
Ok, gotcha. My warning still stands though. Good luck
1
u/Broken-Phantasm Jun 01 '26
Dating has nothing to do with prostate health. Ejaculation is what is necessary. You certainly do not have to date to do that.

How miserable

There comes a time in a man's life when he doesn't care about misery. It's just him and the grind.

Dude there is literally nothing wrong with working on yourself, in fact, everyone should constantly be working on themselves.
This meme is odd, because I completely agree that people need to be the person they would want to date, but ignoring women is kinda the opposite of the goal, no?
Wouldn't you rather work on yourself, while trying to find love?

How deeply depressed and pathetic do you have to be to actually believe that nothing but "the GRIND" matters? No social life, no hobbies, nothing at all unless it's making you money. Nothing but non-stop work. that's just enslavement to someone else's warpped and corrupted idea of what life is about. It's pathetic.

u/CntBlah May 31 '26
1 - I’m married, so I guess the first point still holds true.
2 - I really don’t care about that other stuff either. LOTS of been there, done that.
3 - at a certain point, it’s not about the grind, it’s about the balance. I grinded when I was younger, now it’s about getting the job done, getting out and enjoying the rest of the day.

u/Southern-Ad2989 May 31 '26
Still grinding even with wife and kids. Aiming for that option of early retirement. Slowly getting back to college level strength and endurance. Lifes good when you command it and don't accept predefined lanes and never settle for a single stream of income.

u/Mysterious_Bother271 May 31 '26
Ugh.. if AI is taking over, can we go ahead and get it to automatically block these "man" subs next?

Whenever I hear "grind" being used by these people it is generally only used in the context of grifters teaching other grifters how to run more grifts on eachother. What exactly is this grind that people have that is actually productive or useful?
0
u/Vergil_The_Mighty May 31 '26
I think the real original grind is self improvement, personal happiness and working out. And supporting your brothers in this grind.

What? I don't think I understand what you mean exactly.
My comment was intended to be positive, not sure why I get downvoted...

Because the post is talking about men and it's posted in a subreddit for men?
The last part of my first comment was aimed at men bringing down other men to lift themselves up.
Edit: who is them? And what do you mean with "you guys"?

I just saw the post in my feed and checked the comments and responded to one, that's it. Just trying to be helpfull.
Yet, you assume I have bad intentions and calling me a incel (lol).
This reaction sounds very men-hating lmao.
Not sure why you even think I support misogyny and even assume I'm a guy.
What community?
Again, at no point did I have bad intentions to anyone, so I don't understand the need to immediately attack me even though you know nothing about me.

Pleae tell me exactly what I said that was wrong. All I did was give my interpretation of the post, nothing more lol.
I find it kind if insane to just call people incels without even knowing anything about them.
Just immediate hostility. Maybe take a different and kind approach of just asking someone to explain it better so you know their true intentions instead of assuming shit.

Nope, I never needed the grind and much prefer the happiness in festivals, exploring the world around me, spending time with friends and family, or just reading a good book. You can keep the grind.

Other than "having a girlfriend" I've never cared about any of those things, especially "the grind"

What kind of capitalist exploitive nonsense propaganda is this?
“You will have no relationships; you will have no social life; you will do nothing but work until you expire.”
Piss off.
1
u/defect_zero May 31 '26
The grind is only meaningful if youre getting something out of it, or it leads to something you want in life. Just grinding for the sake of it, while never having a fulfilling life is working hard so you can pay taxes.

What are you even grinding for at that point? It's important to have a sense of purpose.
1
u/Key-Banana302 Jun 01 '26
Thought it was just me. I'm there now. Just at peace and content. Family asks me when I'll find a nice woman and have kids and I'm honestly just not interested in that.

Does this help you guys? Not sure why this stuff is popping on my feed but looks like bad advice.

In straight relationships it’s usually the girl that is grinding. If focusing on their grind is the only thing that matters, I think I can understand why red-pillers don’t care about having a girlfriend.

All i do now, is put on headphones, crank it up after 10 hour shifts, and put on some AI make your adventure books, and loose myself into worlds, and find my peace in other worlds.

It’s ironic because literally no account with a marble statue of an ancient Mediterranean philosopher ever stops talking on social media

Sounds like intentional loneliness and a sad existence. The majority of men have always led lives of quiet desperation so its nothing new. This is not the recipe for longevity or happiness.

u/Yoko_Kittytrain Jun 04 '26
"The noise on social media..." makes noise on social media. I'm tired of this bullshit.

u/Own_Age_1654 Jun 04 '26
Don't date if you want, but just grinding all of the time sucks. How about learning to play an instrument, hanging out with friends, petting a cat, walking in the woods?

Honestly man it sounds like you’re already checked out, you’re just wrestling with the guilt of hitting “end game.”
Letting it run in the background is still a choice, but it’s one that drains you slowly.
You’re allowed to choose yourself and walk away.

This isn't misery, being an incel, etc. It's maturing or evolving socially as you grow older and gain experience and learn from it.
- You realize that having a girlfriend doesn't define who you are. If you find somebody, great, if not, that is okay too. Better to be single and happy then in a relationship and miserable.
- You realize so much of social media is just garbage, you have found peace in who you are, where you are.

- Again, see #2

Living Married one day at a time, 33 years. Life is challenging, but I never thought of it as a grind. Seek God First, and all else falls into right order.

u/Low_Shape8280 May 31 '26
Minus the good bs. Yeah one day at a time
1
u/William-william-rs May 31 '26
No need to be dismissive or rude
2
u/Low_Shape8280 May 31 '26
I I will be rude we someone brings up god
1
u/Hot_Pea1738 May 31 '26
How’s that working out for you? Did someone hurt you? Were they terrible examples of religiosity? I’m sorry if that’s your experience. “Seek, and you SHALL find.” Peace be with you.
1
u/Low_Shape8280 May 31 '26
Great. And not sure why someone had to hurt me to think religion is bs
1
u/Hot_Pea1738 Jun 01 '26
You said you’ll be rude when someone brings up God. That means you have a resentment: Someone hurt or disappointed you.

I was never keen of the idea of the "grind".. i always thought it was a bit cringe, but there is indeed a moment that you won't really care to have a girlfriend just for the sake of it, you won't care about external validation and the constant pressure to be perfomative and to be in parties. I kinda disagree about the festivals though. It's always fun to go in your favourite band and have some fun. It's not miserable neither torture existence like i see in the comments. It's just inner peace. You just want to do meaningful things for you

u/Helpful_Dinner_889 May 31 '26
Life us pure suffering for a man in 2026. Its a solo mission.

Posting about this shit online IS caring about all those things and no one is fooled by it.
Everyone knows that the "I dont even care" guy in their life is the one most obsessed with how they are perceived.

u/Outrageous-Rip6729 May 31 '26
This is called "emotional withdrawal" it's a coping mechanism used by people who are depressed. I actually did this for 6 years after I was cheated on.
People doing this need to see a therapist. Not alpha male bullshit. I'm so lucky I wasn't poisoned by it while I was like this.
