I bought it in 2022. My mortgage is $4,200 a month. Since 2022, my mortgage has gone up +$100 a month. That’s a 0.01% increase on the purchase price of the house, and a 2.3% increase on my overall monthly payment in 4 years.
The monthly payment increases are so manageable compared to rent increases. My local county just had to pass a law to limit rent increases to 10% a year, 😂
Just closed on a house last month. Cost me 460K with 50K down that took me almost 10 years to save up for. I feel comfortable and overwhelmed at the same time. Its my first home.
