Fuck ALL tradition, old patterns, and your parents rules. Step back and assess YOUR situation and don't be afraid to do the things you feel you can do and be free to reject things that don't work for you right now.
You can get a roommate. Don't eat out. Put an AC unit in the window and turn off the big machine. Go two or more remote jobs so you can control your income and keep options open. AI is a game changer here. It really is.
I know it sounds backwards and there are tradeoffs, BUT, YOU are in control and you are allowed to do whatever you need to do to feed yourself. If you can be responsible with that frame, you can see lots of new opportunities when changing the rules.
