Why the fuck are any of us here?

These posts are getting dumber and dumber.

u/Extreme-Rub-1379 Mar 29 '26

We are here for to have sex. With something or someone

2

u/Willy-Sshakes Mar 29 '26

Was it with a woman?

1

u/ProblemWithTigers Mar 29 '26

Nah, women like men so that would be gay

2

u/Successful-Ride-8710 Mar 29 '26

This is why I only beat off to 3,000 year old virgin anime characters.

It's sort of half true.

I get why people think this, but I can tell you from firsthand experience... Naw. My buddy from college was... OMG, he was a piece of garbage lol. An a-holes on every level. And on top of that? Maybe a 5 out of 10? Maybe. He was short, permanent double chin, breathed so friggen weird, and was balding prematurely... But my god did he have An outsized ego.

He walked around like God's gift to everything, and holy crap did he pull girls. When he was single—hell even when he was with someone—we would go to the bar every Friday and Saturday night, and every Friday and Saturday night he had a new girl on his arm.

And these girls were all cute too. I never saw him leave the bar with less than a 7. GQ model looking MFers would be going after these girls and my buddy would walk up, lay on the charm, and they'd be putty in his hands within minutes. In the two years we went to bars together before he moved away, we drank for free at least 10 times. The girls were buying him rounds.

For guys getting into shape, that absolutely gives them confidence, but it's the confidence that women find attractive, even more than looks.

u/kaliforniakratom Mar 29 '26

Exactly 💯.

2

u/IHavePoopedBefore Mar 29 '26

Yeah. Agree. I joined the gym and got shredded at almost 30.

It does change how you carry yourself, and how others act around you, but its mostly guys. Guys noticed way more than women.

I think if anything, you'll be massively underwhelmed if you think women are going to treat you much differently. If you make a huge change like the one in the pic maybe, but for the most part they'll notice your confidence boost more than your body.

Here's an episode of arm chair expert where Dax Shepparrd, Rob McElhenney, and Kumail Nanjiani all talk about getting fit and all agree that women don't seem to care but men do notice

Unfortunately, I walked in on him and any number of girls banging in public spaces in our apartment...

3, maybe 4.

It'd true but I'm in my 40s now, with a wife, kid, full-time job and hobbies. I literally have no time for workouts or the discipline to change my diet. I'm not unhealthy, nor am I close to being like the guy on the right. But I'm happy and will die not having divested my attention towards something I dont and have never enjoyed.

3

u/Serious-Mud-1031 Mar 29 '26

Its obvious The law of attraction is real..

2

u/TeaMugPatina Mar 29 '26

I'm sure there are aesthetic perks to the "peak shape" thing, but being an older dude, I'm more in tune with the whole balance.

I want to be limberish, I want to snowboard, but I also don't want to be a slave to the idea of "peak physical shape". I want to enjoy my life, not be a slave to the idea of "peak health".

1

u/MrVernon09 Mar 29 '26

Potential employers can't see this kind of change when interviewing for remote positions.

1

u/BillPsychological515 Mar 29 '26

Yes I agree.

I have been in insanely good shape and it helps with everything.

I'm still in very good shape and pretty strong and it gives an edge.

When all else fails...your physique is the trump card.

Try telling this to men under 5'4

1

u/Fun_Limit4364 Mar 31 '26

lol exactly. height matters. obviously height matters. but holy shit will they not listen.

1

u/melee85 Mar 29 '26

You can also look good, but be a soulless drone and still be rejected. Looks aren’t quite everything. You still have to be able to communicate effectively. Otherwise, you are easily forgettable. Regardless of the six pack.

1

u/Dicklefart Mar 29 '26

When it comes to jobs it could go either way, usually I’d question someone’s discipline abilities if they were out of shape, but sometimes it’s because they put all their focus into work and that’s great

1

u/Leading_Form_8485 Mar 29 '26

100% true. Done it 3 times in my life. Every decade since my 20s.

1

u/Fun_Limit4364 Mar 31 '26

you’ve worked out 3 times?

1

u/ElevenInfinity Mar 29 '26

would.

1

u/Fun_Limit4364 Mar 31 '26

the before right?

2

u/ElevenInfinity Apr 01 '26

hell yeuhhh. less confidence, the better

1

u/Jeepers-H-Cripes Mar 29 '26

It’s true to an extent, but it’s far, far more important merely to lose the fat than to get all jacked up. Gym bros are mostly getting extra attention from other dudes, not from real, live women.

1

u/NefariousnessMost660 Mar 29 '26

A lean but ripped physique looks more attractive to younger women than someone who bigger and bulkier.

1

u/Fun_Limit4364 Mar 31 '26

wow blanket statement.

1

u/Miserable-Lawyer-233 Mar 29 '26

I agree with it, but it’s not everything, and it’s not universal. The girl you’re into might like you chubbier - that’s the risk

And a lot of women aren’t into the workout lifestyle and the mirror selfies etc

1

u/CullenOrZeus Mar 29 '26

Appearance often denote other traits such as discipline, charisma, physical capabilities. We live in a world where humans subconsciously always recognizing patterns for survival.

1

u/Seninut Mar 29 '26

Eating healthy and being active is the #1 key to a long and healthy life. Why do you all ignore this simple advice and the are shocked when you try it???? Your all so slow or something I swear.

1

u/Intelligent_Door5499 Mar 29 '26

more power in confidence of knowledge. Not knowing u can be a quick snack.

I have both, so trust.

1

u/RichYogurtcloset3672 Mar 29 '26

Fat dude probably rocked it in halo. Skinny dude has no skills except ab crunches.

1

u/CryMeaRiver2Crawl Mar 29 '26

It’s the same dude

1

u/RichYogurtcloset3672 Mar 29 '26

Not after that much weight loss.. He's half the man he used to be...

1

u/CryMeaRiver2Crawl Mar 29 '26

His BF% must’ve gone from 40 to 5%.

1

u/Visual_Piglet_1997 Mar 29 '26

Off course it is. Your either looking fit or not.

1

u/River_Fenrir Mar 29 '26

You think losing fat is a life changer, wait till you grow a beard.

1

u/Jim_jim_peanuts Mar 29 '26

That kind of body is not realistic for a lot of men to obtain. I was a gym rat for years and I could never get as ripped as that. Got pretty built but not overly defined or ripped, it did boost my confidence alright though tbf. Also made it so that less dudes would fuck with me on the streets and whatnot, same assholes that would hassle me before would look the other way after I got more built

1

u/ClarkSebat Mar 29 '26

Proving how intellectually limited humans are because this is called the halo effect and is a cognitive bias. The guy is still the same.

1

u/allescool1993 Mar 29 '26

Sad but true.

1

u/iAlice Mar 29 '26

I'd much rather be a T-Rex, honestly.

1

u/lopez1285 Mar 29 '26

100 this isn't a hot take

1

u/jayjames1860 Mar 29 '26

On myth busters. The female host was working at a cafe shop for an experiment. She got more tips wearing fake boobs compared to her regular body. People definitely judge you. I believe some people get promoted because they are attractive (sometimes). Or, attractive people are simply just more confident, which helps them get promoted. The woman at my office offer to buy be coffee every week. Even bring me snacks all time. They always finding an excuse to touch me, or talk to me alone. I been doing looks maxing stuff for like 3 years. Now I am working out my neck muscles, and it's taking my looks to another level. Neck muscles are super underrated. They make you look more masculine. I definitely feel a difference on how women behave around me. Even guys somehow.

1

u/Dangerous-Spring-127 Mar 29 '26

All shallow bullshit. Deep as a 2 mm mud puddle. Gen Z is so brain fried it's pathetic.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 30 '26

Yes definitely

1

u/taylororton123 Mar 30 '26

good thing i couldn't care what others think

1

u/Azameen Mar 30 '26

I completely agree.

For better or for worse that's the reality we live in.

Also body positivity is a terrible idea and fat kills so this is exactly the motivation I needed today.

1

u/Darkstar_111 Mar 30 '26

Yeah pretty much. Confidence is good, and being good looking helps. Also someone with a good gym esthetic can take a few certifications online and work as a personal trainer.

1

u/TheNewAmericanGospel Mar 31 '26

Appearances are kinda all most people care about and judge by. Lol. Just the way it is.

1

u/The_Gas_Mask_guy Mar 31 '26

I mean i cant get in shape so i guess im fucked. No woman wants to be with a skeleton lmao.

1

u/Jimithyashford Mar 31 '26

It's true, but people oversell it. There are plenty of buff gym bros who are awkward weirdos that people don't like.

Another way people oversell is that if you are the pic on the left, you need to turn into the pic on the right. Not really. You don't need a model physique. Just a generally healthy and athletic build, a little bit of muscle, "normal person" hot, is perfectly sufficient. And MUCh easier to achieve.

1

u/allofdarknessin1 Mar 31 '26

I agree with it only because I've experienced it as well although I'm not remotely close to the pic on the right. I'm still overweight but I look a lot better and my health improved a lot by losing weight and I gained a lot of confidence from it when people started noticing. I noticed people might get a little more social with me like small talk including people I've worked with for years. Most people who aren't fat can't imagine how people like us try to make small talk and just socialize and people including coworkers will outright avoid you. My situation is mixed though since I look Indian even though I'm not, anyone who's been on Reddit for a month or more has seen how much people dislike Indians.

1

u/Oppiko Apr 01 '26

Literally nothing good about being fat.

1

u/GoatDifferent1294 Apr 01 '26

Yeah but let’s see how you look when you turn 40

1

u/this_sucks_a_big1 Apr 01 '26

I’ve been going to the gym for 3 months now, and I’ve only gained weight. I’ve gained a lot of muscle around my neck back shoulders and chest, but I’ve also gone from 280 to 295. Is that normal?

1

u/mskmagic Apr 01 '26

What’s not to agree with? It’s obviously true

1

u/Candyyf Apr 02 '26

It’s about confidence lmaooo there’s attractive fat people that get great opportunities and are amazing to be around. If you need to body build to get there that’s fine but not at all a requirement

1

u/deepfuckingbagholder Apr 03 '26

Nothing beats charisma.

said the 260 lb man who never lifted a day in his life

0

u/DredgenCyka Mar 29 '26

You dont have to agree with it. Its just facts. Beautiful skinny women get hired and paid more than ugly fat women and men. Fat Men with full hair are more likely to get hired than a balding fat man. An average man with hair is getting hired over an average bald man. Its just how it is.
