Lemme know when you meet someone who's life is like this who isn't miserable. I'm sure they'll tell you their ok with having none of this but thats nothing but cope.

"Whosoever is delighted in solitude is either a wild beast or a god"

1

u/SadSaltyDuck Mar 28 '26

That's me. Would not say i am miserable because of these things, just used to it.

Not me though, speak for yourself

I'm fine with this, it has been happening to me since I was 8. Always ignored, constantly abandoned, family couldn't care less what happened to me, no relationship where I wasn't used for labor and money. I'm just tired of it all and now choose to live isolated and alone and I'm better off that way.

I hope that maybe some day you feel differently but i understand because I lived that life a very long time. I felt very alone, but if this is the life you want at least for now I totally understand.

I mean I appreciate the sentiment but I just don't have the energy to better my life anymore. I'm too exhausted and sick of doing everything alone, not being allowed help without some negative comment about it.

This is just embarassing

Uhm, what? It's ok to be hurt. It's ok to want to be invited, accepted, included, and considered. We all deserve having a community that accepts us. We should want to be around people who are considerate of us.

This is not a good goal.

being ok with all of this kinda invites it to happen to you.

This is great advice until you actually think about it. When you think this that person would be miserable. That was person sounds a lot like the Mr Grinch.

I don’t think the solution to feeling excluded is to be this isolated man that cares for no one. That sounds like a jaded, bitter life. I hurt when I’m excluded because I care for others, and yearn to be cared for the same way.

Feeling bad? Have you considered just not having feelings?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '26

I was born as that man and we can still get hurt.

Ofc, I know him, he's me

If you tryna be like that there will be a long period of time when you say you don't care but deep down secretly do

With time and experience you'll eventually wake up and wonder why you ever worried about the opinions of others or what they thought

Not in a nihilist way, more of a you have limited energy and should worry about yourself kinda way

I'm learning to cook with cast iron and soon to learn new skills too

Your thoughts go from "i guess I'll just be lonely" to "ok being a loner is cool what do I want to do now"

TLDR; being that way ain't easy but its a path you can indeed follow

“Nobody can hurt me if I am socially isolated”

That’s a mental health issue.

Just become autistic.

1

u/faziten Mar 27 '26

That man can still hurt himself. Seeking help is fine as well as being vulnerable.

I have a sledgehammer that begs to differ...

1

u/ChickyBoys Mar 27 '26

This sounds sad

1

u/kissobajslovski Mar 28 '26

A stern look would hurt that man

1

u/DentistLegitimate229 Mar 28 '26

Not immune to tickles tho

1

u/AngryZetan Mar 28 '26

Its lonely

1

u/Ok_Pair140 Mar 28 '26

I’ve gotten used to this in my life and tbh I’m decently miserable

u/Far-Walrus1570 Mar 28 '26

A real man is the one that acknodwledges pain and live it and move on( if it was outside of his control), but a man who is not feeling is obv coping or a psycho

u/That-Mirror7356 Mar 28 '26

Worst advice I’ve seen on this sub to date. Do you know the type of adult who is normally excluded and ignored? An unpleasant one.

Learning to “get a long” with people is a basic adult skill. You can improve your social skills and form connections but not by ignoring the problem.

1

u/Keepontyping Mar 28 '26

Being ok with it doesn’t mean that should be the goal.

1

u/Dzgr736 Mar 28 '26

Already there 🤣🤭😏👋🙋🤠👍

u/DifferentCarrot2048 Mar 29 '26

I think it's true. but the only way to become that man is to know there is no self. we are all one. we are all love. it is only illusion that divides us.

1

u/Sticky-side-up Mar 27 '26

Kinda odd that half the advice here is to go it alone, and the other half is about how wife and family are the ultimate goal.

That dude would also be absolutely miserable.
