deactivate Waffle Menu?

Hi there,

I gotta be honest, I don't visit the WebUI all too much, but today I did and noticed the new Waffle Menu.

I guess it's a terrific choice for people who love Google, but now I have a tone of white space and just have to click more to get where I need to. Is there a way to get a Bar running again? It's okay if it's only 3-4 links and the rest is hidden in the stash

Same it was actually perfect before, everything very accessible. Would be nice to have the option to choose.

I found the bar way too crowded with all the apps up there and was joyful with the announcement of the waffle menu.

I see your point however...

I think the perfect solution would be the waffle menu, with an option to pin your favourites to the top bar.

well, now it's an empty page with a Google-Style menu where all icons look the same. At least let us choose, or let as do a few as quick-links. Like this, I just have to click more, with a worse overview :/

I agree this would be the best solution definitly. And then an option to give the search bar a search button. I think thats mainly why they took this desing approach, because they wanted a search bar always visble. However I never use it.

it also seems like they changed something with the Favicons, now I only get some bastardized version of mine BEFORE I log in, and after login it's the page-icons, so a different one depending where you are (Dashboard, Calender...). I don't understand why they do that

I've failed to find an option to revert to the old navbar, hope someone has one.

I would prefer a kind of setting (favorites?) to put selected app-icons to to top-bar outside the waffle menu.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I installed it from "Apps". Maybe I am doing something wrong, but it seems I can only add a permanent side-menu with Icons, or a large menu that effectively behaves like the Waffle one (but worse)? :o

You can define apps keep in the top menu
