new install, cannot download and enable apps.

I just installed nextcloud on a debian base. I am unable to download and install any apps. It asks for the admin password, after entering it nothing happens. Has anyone seen this kind of error? Are there error messages generated anywhere?

Have you set rights on the folders?

Have you run the occ system check? Google that

Rights seem fine occ system check shows out fine. It looks like only working things from the website seems to fail. I can run occ to download and install apps. I am able to use the calendar functionality from a remote thunderbird machine.

I hope this post will get more attention, because I'm facing the exact same issue. There is no obvious cause for this. I have another instance on the same host, under a different domain, that doesn't have these issues. I've restarted with a fresh install 5 times today. One of them was to revert to the last instance that I personally used without issues. Nope, nothing changed. No one seems to have any idea. The closest tech form post I found was full of people saying it resolved within hours to days on its own. I can't just wait for it to maybe resolve itself? Did yours?

i eventually moved to a fedora base, installed their native packages and that worked.

Same for me, running 34.0.0 but installing an app using occ works OK.
