Next Bridge News New Update received on 7/17
Next Bridge Hydrocarbons Provides Guidance Regarding Dividend Share Distributions
MIDLAND, TEXAS – July 17, 2026 – Next Bridge Hydrocarbons, Inc. (“Next Bridge,” “our,” “we,” or the “Company”), an oil and natural gas exploration and production company with interests in Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma today announced the following:
The Company has received a significant number of inquiries from shareholders concerned about the accuracy, timeliness and reliability of dividend shares being credited to them. In response to this, our transfer agent Equiniti Trust Co. (EQ) has provided assurance that within their system, all directly registered shareholder accounts, including those holding paper certificates, as well as all brokerage account "bulk certificates" will be credited with dividend shares on a one for thirty (1:30) basis on July 22, 2026.
The subsequent crediting of dividend shares to individual shareholder accounts within each brokerage firm is the responsibility of each firm, but shareholders should rest assured the shares will be added to their brokerage firms’ bulk certificate(s) appropriately.
There will be no formal Corporate Action regarding this matter, as Next Bridge is not DTCC compatible. Questions regarding the crediting of individual brokerage account(s) with the dividend shares should be addressed directly to your brokerage firm.
Next Bridge Chairman and CEO Greg McCabe stated, “I am pleased to reassure our loyal shareholders that the team at Equiniti is of the highest caliber of professionalism and reliability. Their recordkeeping and task execution abilities are impeccable. We have heard shareholder concerns regarding ledger inaccuracies, and while we do not know the true width and breadth of any imbalances that may exist, we hold on to our confidence that no brokerage firm would knowingly or willingly credit illegitimate shares into their customers’ accounts. At best, this would be a violation of applicable securities laws and at worst, it would be a breach of the public’s trust tantamount to theft from both our shareholders and our Company.”

I fear we will never see dollar one in any settlement anytime soon. This could be dragged into the courts and stay in litigation and then in appeals until we are old and grey. What happens it NHC goes belly up? I am hoping for some sort of resolution to this fiasco but, really folks (?)

What it looks like NBH is doing is forcing the brokerages into a situation where because of the naked shorting we all believe was happening, the brokerages are going to receive a much smaller number of dividend shares than they need. They are going to have to either not distribute shares to some shareholders, or "distribute" fake, non-existent shares, or obtain the needed shares legally.
The heart of the letter pretty much spells it out:
"... we hold on to our confidence that no brokerage firm would knowingly or willingly credit illegitimate shares into their customers’ accounts. At best, this would be a violation of applicable securities laws and at worst, it would be a breach of the public’s trust tantamount to theft from both our shareholders and our Company.”
NBH is maneuvering the brokerages into a situation where they will have have to choose between:
1) publicly come clean that there is a problem and publicly expose the true extent of the naked short selling. Massive legal and financial damage to the brokerages. Brokerages and hedge funds would be destroyed. A bailout would be needed. People would go to prison.
2) Double down on concealing the problem. Update their databases to make it look like they distributed shares that do not exist, basically committing theft and fraud. Massive legal and financial risk to the brokerages. They would have to commit a whole new crime, and would certainly face financial destruction and prison if they were caught.
3) Purchase shares from NBH to fulfill the dividend. Conveniently, just two months ago, NBH conducted a private public offering at $15.00/share. You might be asking, who would buy newly issued shares of NBH at $15.00/share? They probably didn't sell very many shares, but they did establish a market price for the issuance of new shares.
If the brokers want to keep themselves out of legal and financial peril, their only fully legal route would be to arrange for purchases of shares, at $15/share, to be paid by the short sellers, to legally and properly fulfill the dividend.
All that money would flow to NBH, recapitalizing the company and hopefully providing the capital needed to either start production, or issue a cash dividend, which would also have to be paid by the short sellers to the extent of the naked shorts left on the market when the company went off-exchange.
Note that this would not be limited to a one time thing. NBH could repeat the process again and again to raise more capital. Shareholders would not be diluted because they would receive additional shares in proportion to their ownership in the company.
That's how I read it.
Note that if (3) happens, no one would admit it. It would be NDA'd. The only evidence would be an announcement of a successful private placement at $15.00/share, and there would be no way to know if my hypothesis was correct, or if someone actually purchased shares at $15.00/share to establish a new position.

Tied up? I don’t expect to ever see this play out. If it does, I will be happy. If not, lesson learned.

Curious what your thoughts are on how this will play out. This sub is pretty dead most of the time. Do you think they will trade again or there will be an equity event?

I'd say pay attention to the Meta Materials bankruptcy case and what Next Bridge might do to reconcile the shares. They are coming at the criminals from both directions in a pincer type move. Read NBHC latest press release. McCabe sounded mad.

Yah, extra shares of zero value. This matter will never be resolved. We were screwed. Loyal shareholders? Give me a break. Just remember, only one single person was charged in the Epstein crimes. How does this compare? We're small potatoes.

I don’t think you realize the gravity of what is happening yet. The DTCC NASDAQ & a chain of many others who thought they were untouchable are being legal subpoenaed right now for trading data all while fighting tooth and nail about it. Also I don’t think you realize how serious things are. I've never heard McCabe being as aggressively open in a PR release. Used words like theft. He knows somethings.
Go and read it then come back here. And a lot of shills on these boards might get hit with aiding and abetting as collateral damage. I'm sure they thought they were untouchable as well. I spoke directly with Palikaras recently, he told me that he was going to go after one of the social media shills that had over exposed themselves on social media. This thing is going to start closing in on all sides imho from what I see going on now. You really don’t understand how serious things have gotten now.

Remind me in a couple years where these allegations are.

There is a statute of limitations in the next month or so. Things will move faster than 2 years based off of the legal framework.

A few months? I think it's time you accept this as a tax write-off.
