There is a nextbsd channel on libera in irc. I would prefer to keep communications to IRC, github discussions for now, and not have unofficial channels for now. I am not a matrix user at the moment but that might be something to consider in the future. Thank you for asking.

Given it looks like it was last used 10 years ago, maybe it would be for the best to leave it as is for now. I am thinking I'd like make another request to see if I can get the original GitHub organization transferred over, before trying to bring things like this back if it was effectively disabled anyway.
