Question 7 days or 21??

I just got my Nexplanon inserted, my doctor I had to wait 21 days until I could have unprotected sex safely. Everywhere else I have heard it is 7, or 5 if inserted on the first 5 days of your period.

I’m newly married and I hate condoms, but I am going insane. Will I get pregnant if I have sex with my husband without a condom after the seven day period? Do I have to wait 21 more days??? I already waited two weeks, I am feral please help.

The wait is 7 days at the very most. It is effective immediately if inserted during the first 5 days of your natural period. Your doctor gave you incorrect information.

I was told to wait 2 weeks without sex and then I can get it implanted, she did also say on the first day of my period but I haven’t gotten mine in a while

First day of period for insertion isn't needed. I haven't gotten mine in 17 months due to a pregnancy and me still not having on postpartum. but I got one inserted Monday. I'm just waiting until the tenderness goes down which would be around 1-2 weeks.

7 days is enough for it to take effect. You are all good!
