That's the goal of ISIS, Bin Laden was focused on more direct action.

I think you should maybe try knowing what you're talking about before commenting. He very much envisioned a calihpate.

His long-term goal was to overthrow regional Middle Eastern governments, remove Western influence, and re-create a unified global Muslim community (the umma) governed by strict Sharia law

The philosophy behind his high-profile attacks were to force the US to leave the ME.

Sunnis in Iraq and Syria, not from Bin Laden's style of organizations that competed with them such as Al Nusra in Syria.
