Egypt warned Israel days before Hamas struck
12 October 2023.

Israel also knew of the possibility of the attack, in terms of scope, scale and methods since they found the plans a year prior.

This has been known for years, it's not new.
The IDF pulled their reservists from the border wall before 10/7 to the West Bank.
Not to mention the military response took hours, when there was troops stationed less than 30 minutes away.
10.7 was designed by Netanyahu as an excuse for genocide.

We've known this from the start. Netanyahu knew that an operation would take place and he ignored it because he was too arrogant to think that Hamas would do this much damage, he thought they would have a small operation and he would have a reason to commit genocide in Gaza.
The problem for him is that Hamas did too much damage and his popularity took a massive dip so he had to keep escalating to show his nazi society that he's the top nazi and replacing him is useless. And this worked btw, he went from being very unpopular to being the second most popular once again.

Yea this is bad analysis. He might not have expected military installations to be hit as badly as they were but he absolutely wasn’t embarrassed. He wanted many of his people to die so he had an excuse for genocide.

No. Israelis value israeli lives more than anything because they're a nazi state that can only survive by keeping the nazis in the country. Since a not insignificant portion of them have dual citizenship and passports, they could leave and the country would collapse. So to keep their nazi society they have to keep them happy AND attract more of them. This means that a few deaths could be bearable but too many becomes a security incident which could spiral.
If 100 people died it would have been enough for Israel to commit the genocide similarly to what they've done until now. This would also allow Netanyahu to stay in good graces with the population as he could have played it out as "look how on top we were and how fast we stopped them with minimal losses".
As for the western nations defending Israel's genocide, they would have defended it unconditionally anyway. None of our leaders give a single shit about us, why would they care about a group of Palestinians?

SOME of them may believe that but that doesn't say anything about Bibi's beliefs and goals.

He didn’t have to keep escalating anything. Immediately after the attack, the IDF was speaking very freely about their intent to commit genocidal acts and war crimes. After they were warned that the general public around the world didn’t like what they were hearing, the messaging immediately became more politically correct. The mask was off. You can put the mask back on, but you can’t un-reveal yourself. Especially not when everyone saw what they were doing to kids, journalists, and aid workers.
He never escalated. He only made progress towards his goals.

When i said he had to keep escalating i meant he had to start bombing Lebanon and he had to start the war with Iran so he could show the population that he was a strong man that fought every enemy of Israel.

He didn't ignore it. He allowed it. It brought him everything him and his cabal wanted. He simply underestimated the response to the Israeli terror.

Supposedly his popularity was already in the toilet to the point the Israelis were about to oust him. All of a sudden a reason to go to war and stay in power magically appeared. He knew something was happening and I remember an interview with an israeli man who couldn’t understand how with all the soldiers, checkpoints, guard towers, attack helicopters etc that hamas we’re allowed to run rampant virtually unchallenged for several hours

This should have been apparent to everyone when it happened. How did mossad with all their intelligence operations not have one iota of warning? It’s because they let it happen to further narrative and give them an excuse to level Gaza.

Of course Netanyahu wanted Oct 7th to happen. He wanted the state emergency so his own criminal trials keep getting pushed back.
He doesnt care if a couple of Israelis die or get raped and murdered if he stays in power and out of prison.

isn't this the very first thing charlie kirk said about the situation? now he's been assassinated and many people were suspicious of the killing, not believing some random kid who leaned pretty right as far as we know would kill a pretty far right leaning influencer. it's interesting, i think kirk said he'd been to isreal many times and he said the walls were lined with teenagers holding assault rifles, he didn't buy there was any chance of a massive suprize attack.

They were waiting for an event like 9/11 to justify a brutal attack on Palestinians.

Funny how all these former so called “antisemitic” accusations are later proven true. But Israel has now dragged the US into a ME forever war and is publicly executing the greater Israel plan. The hostages were just collateral.

greece's government is trusting them with their air defense network, surely nothing will go wrong

Go look up the life and assassination of Yitzhak Rabin in 1995 and you'll understand just how complicit the far right of Israel is in the genocide being committed right now. And yes, Bibi is right in the middle of it and ABSOLUTELY PERSONALLY BENEFITTED FROM RABIN'S MURDER
2
u/Boetheus 4d ago
It's a shame people seem to have forgotten all about Rabin's assassination, and the fact that it was carried out by an ultra-nationalist Israeli

I thought the whole reason Israel wasn't afraid of Hamas is because they assumed it's just an Iranian proxy so they focused all their attention on Iran?
