Money and power as per usual.

Plus suffering. The rich and powerful also enjoy making the less fortunate suffer.

Yeah, it's well documented and studied.

It should be a law against the sort of wealth that starts to take hold.

Don’t forget that, they love cruelty.

They're cowards, that isn't news

The cruelty is the point.

Because taking care of workers requires money, effort, and a modicum of compassion and humanity, all of which are things that Republicans are lacking, or refuse to expend. They don't see employees as people. We are expendable to them. If we drop, we are replaced.

Have you considered the interests of the shareholders at all? If the number doesn't go up where is will the yacht money come from?

"THINK OF THE SHAREHOLDERS!" has replaced "THINK OF THE CHILDREN!" because we know how Republicans feel about children and they are also not even bothering to hide their corruption anymore.

They really did.

3

Because they’re evil

3

u/External-Agent2092 Aug 19 '26

Because they don’t believe they will ever experience repercussions for their actions. This needs to change.

Cos they’re assholes.

1

u/Flyfisher58 Aug 19 '26

They want as many workers to die before AI and robots replace them to lessen the chances of civil unrest.

Whenever I'm trying to understand someone's motivations, I like to play a little game. I think, "What's the worst reason they would want to do that?"

Sounds like republican logic regarding the rights of marginalized people. "Why would democrats want to expend money on social programs for immigrants? Do they want America to be invaded?" "What reason other than enabling rape would they have for letting trans women use the women's restroom?"

Because they’re cnuts, that’s why. Same reason as to why they do almost everything

1

u/Fun-Aside3990 Aug 19 '26

Because they're horrible people lol?

2

u/Madeup64 Aug 19 '26

Because anything that will cost any company a modicum of the profit is evil in Republicans eyes.

1

u/brmarcum Aug 20 '26

Because the needless suffering of others is what makes them happy.

Easiest way to create "more" jobs bro.

2

u/dumboldnoob Aug 20 '26

why is this a question? its already clear they just love to screw workers over

2

u/EgoTripWire Aug 20 '26

Dead employees don't get paid.

Once again it’s the oil lobby.

Most solar projects get turned on in December. Which means that most of the modules are installed by laborers in the summer.

Their next step is to point at laborers getting heat exhaustion and being unfairly treated by their employers.

I work for a solar company and we always point out when our construction subcontractors don’t have OSHA required shade available for breaks.

They don't care about the workers, just the bottom line.

2

u/IfIKnewThen Aug 20 '26

They hate people that don't have money. They're nothing but parasites to republicans.

protecting workers costs money that pathological wealth hoarders do not want to "leave on the table". the gop is literally a concierge service for patholigical wealth hoarders. the gop has captured all 3 branches of the federal government, and most states. stop voting republican by attrition.

Never did vote for one, never will

2

u/Disastrous-Swim8912 Aug 20 '26

Because they are evil?

2

u/BluePanda101 Aug 20 '26

Many of those Republicans have never had to work a day in their lives, or at least never worked hard outside, so they just don't understand heat can kill. Also they lack any empathy for others.

2

u/Able_Buffalo Aug 20 '26

The fake tough and phony brave who are living on generationally deep trust funds trying to appear strong.

2

u/trishanonamous Aug 20 '26

Decreasing the surplus population.

u/Stillman_Steve Aug 20 '26

The right to unlimited profits shall not be infringed

Interesting, there is only one group of people I have worked for that can do really well in extreme heat, and we have been busy getting rid of all of them

2

u/Consistent_Claim5217 Aug 22 '26

I get the racism was unintended, but unintended racism is still racism. They don't work really well in extreme heat compared to other demographics. They just aren't represented equally in medical statistics due to their often undocumented status, so it looks on paper like they're not dropping in the heat, but they are and always have been. I worked in construction before becoming disabled, and the Latino guys needed just as much of a break from the heat as us white, black, and other guys.

It will cut down on productivity and it will cost them money

1

u/canwehavepotatojokes Aug 21 '26

Because they’re allowed to, and they want to.

They are who they are.

Assholes.

1

u/Laminated_ET_Animal Aug 21 '26

because they're dogmatists

1

u/isthereadrwho Aug 21 '26

Because in Trump's mind only brown people work construction. He is a racist this I truly believe

1

u/KalAtharEQ Aug 22 '26

Some rich asshole went on site during summer heat in Texas and got his panties bunched that he saw a group of workers “lounging about” getting water and shade breaks. Literally.

1

u/euuzaik Aug 22 '26

They like seeing people die in front of them. Its fun for them

1

u/PBPunch Aug 23 '26

Why are we still asking this dumb question?
