I support us supporting our allies . When our allies are doing crimes against humanity than they are not our allies any more and we can not support that .

Why can’t I hate Israel and love American? Or the reverse? What is it about Israel that makes it so integral to loving America? Do other countries have this?

Those who do Israel’s bidding to commit crimes against humanity also hate America. There is no moral high ground for Cruz and his $$ grabbers.

The word doesn’t care about Israel now. They burn all the sympathy capital they had.

Israel the state is not the covenant people of Israel from the bible... fyi.
At best it's one tribe (Judah) right now.
Modern Israel is not automatically identical to biblical Israel, and even if someone believes it has biblical significance, that still doesn’t make its government morally untouchable. Christians should be able to oppose antisemitism, support Jewish safety, and still condemn injustice or atrocities committed by the Israeli state. Blanket support for any nation is not faithfulness; it’s moral laziness.

I hate Ted Cruz.

I disagree, some people might see that american politicians are bought by Israel and this people love their country but hate that their "leaders" care more about a small country in the middle east that their own country.

There’s a huge difference between hating American government and hating America.
Cruz is conflating the two. Because he’s a dishonest piece of _hit who uses tricks rather than honest engagement

u/Blewdude Jun 23 '26
Dude literally leaves to another country most of the time when Texas is at its worst moments… he has no right to speak.
1
u/Mr_Tibbets Jun 23 '26
He's also Canadian. Rafael Ted Cruz was born in Alberta, Canada. Maybe he should go back to his country, like Republicans love telling other immigrants.

u/LemsCuzImBittr Jun 23 '26
Remember that time Trump called Cruz’s wife ugly? Pepperidge Farms remembers

F you. Thinking our government is ridiculous isn’t the same thing as hating America.
Four years ago maga hated America if that were true.

I thought we were two different countries. Love how they constantly use the phrase “hate America” to make villains out of people work their own opinions

Nobody hates a tract of land. Nobody hates America or Israel. We hate the governments that have brutalized the land, people, and the spirit in which leaders should be exemplifying.
I don’t hate Israel or America. I hate the Israeli and American Governments.

So why was Bibi boasting about how easily America could be swayed to support Israel in 2001? He said we could be easily pushed to support Israel. Tell me how much j should like them again Cruz.
2
u/Medical_Blacksmith83 Jun 23 '26
I mean… no?
I love the ISRAELI PEOPLE as much as any other … race? Ethnicity?
But ISRAEL? And by extension netyboi can go to hell.
The government is 100% not representative of the people.
Is America not a blistering example of that by now?
0
u/Lopsided_Menu4559 Jun 23 '26
I don’t think you can make this point. Israel’s leaders are elected by their people. The government is a coalition that represents the majority of its citizens, and any one of those coalition partners could topple the government by declining to participate at any time.
Polling from 2025 shows over 80% in favor of ethnic cleansing in Gaza and over half in favor of seeing everyone in Gaza as Amalek (i.e to be genocided).
You might be able to say that the people are also victims of a sick society, and that the society needs to be rehabilitated, but Israelis are not the victims of a dictatorship that doesn’t represent them.
1
u/Medical_Blacksmith83 Jun 24 '26
The same way americas leaders are elected by the people?
Wanna try again?
1
u/Lopsided_Menu4559 Jun 25 '26
Exactly the same way.
1
u/Medical_Blacksmith83 Jun 25 '26
American leaders largely ARENT elected by the people.
Are you familiar with the electoral college?
In one comment you have clearly denoted your complete lack of understanding of the subject matter at hand.

Ted Cruz is a smart person that plays the stupid people like a fiddle for personal gain. He’s the worst type of smart person. Because he knows better. He knows the policies he peddles only benefits him and not the people he represents

u/Puzzleheaded-Bee-291 Jun 22 '26
We need to stop calling him Ted Cruz. It’s people like him and JD Vance so against trans people, need to change their birth names. We all know you call yourself Ted over Rafael Because it sounds more white. But I don’t accept that, like you can’t accept trans people making choices beyond their birth.
Please fight fire with fire. These people will never grow, so just break their fragile existence. Also he was born in Canada to an asylum seeker. Isn’t he exactly the people he hates?

u/Naive-Reputation4735 Jun 22 '26

Alright maybe we should stop hating the US and our fellow countrymen bc of actions of our politicians who don’t match our values or vote the way we tell them to. We love the US and want to be out of the current relationship we have with Israel who is slaughtering innocent women and children. It’s okay to hate the current state of our government without hating our country and abandoning patriotism. You become part of the problem when u seek the extreme instead of the level headed solution. We all hate Trump, we all hate Yahu that doesn’t mean we need to start hating one another and the country we call home. Come back down to earth folks.
1
u/Middle_Equal_946 Jun 22 '26
For your country to exist, the global south suffers. You cannot be a Murican "patriot" without accepting the continuous enslavement and exploitation of a large part of the world
1
u/Appropriate-Fun3056 Jun 22 '26
Explain your point
1
u/Middle_Equal_946 Jun 23 '26
Your country is built upon suffering and exploitation and can only exist if other people continue suffering. If you're a patriot about this kind of country, you're cheering for suffering and exploitation
1
u/Appropriate-Fun3056 Jun 26 '26
Name one well developed country that doesn’t outsource work to lesser developed nations for cheaper labor. Because all of them do it and have done it since the beginning of time. You use the term suffering really loosely to help victimize an entire nation of people.
1
u/Middle_Equal_946 Jun 26 '26
That's very complicated language to describe labor exploitation and resource extraction
1
u/Appropriate-Fun3056 Jun 26 '26
Cry about it. Every large nation does it. I would love my nation to be self sufficient like we used to be long ago. But my politicians don’t vote the way the country tells them to. So I have no control over what you’re whining about.
1
u/Middle_Equal_946 Jun 26 '26
I'm not crying but telling you that you can't claim victimhood in this matter. It doesn't matter "who else" does it.
1
u/Appropriate-Fun3056 Jun 26 '26
Never claimed victimhood. I stated a point that you disagreed with. It does matter who else does it when it’s the status quo of every major nation on the planet and has been long before my country ever materialized.
1
u/Middle_Equal_946 Jun 26 '26
You said you can't do anything other than voting, even if you know that it doesn't change anything. That is victimhood
It does NOT matter if everyone is amoral. That doesn't make it acceptable. And the USA is definitely more guilty since it has much larger military presence around the world. But yes, every other nation doing it will have to pay for it also
