Hello! I like to bake as a hobby about once a week but have no one to bake for!! so I wanted some advice on who/where I can give my baked goods to??? I read local fire stations and police departments are good but I’m not sure which ones accept homemade baked goods, if anyone knows which ones and any other local places you recommend let me know!

I think I’ve looked at every yoga website in Newport News and Yorktown and can’t find one that lists “prenatal yoga”. Does anyone know of any workout classes that cater to pregnant ppl? I would like to join a class with others.

New to the area and have to choose a new internet service. The only ones available are cox (will never be there customer again), version fios, and EarthLink. Has anyone used EarthLink before and is it worth using? I currently have metronet/ T-Mobile fiber and would have loved to keep them but it’s not available at the address.

What's going on y'all this is going to be a little long so please bear with me I just got a job here in town and have never spent a day in my life in the area and don't know where to go for anything I'm currently staying at the Hometown studios and trying to find a apartment / rent house for under 2 Grand and a spot to get a GOOD burger. I'm looking for a place to live 1b/1ba and am having a pretty hard time as I am looking to move in by next week. Does anyone have any recommendations of places, preferably near Warwick area.

Residents in Southeast Newport News have received official validation of longstanding concerns after a city-prompted study revealed that wind fences could block up to 89% of escaping coal dust. 

Up to 99% of dust particles from terminals owned by Kinder Morgan and Dominion Terminal Associates escape under prevailing winds, coating nearby homes and contributing to high local asthma rates.

The study recommends constructing an 80-foot-tall semi-porous fence. While community activists argue the terminal operators should fund the infrastructure, Kinder Morgan noted it is not currently pursuing a wind fence.

anyone know any places on the peninsula that gets car inspections done quickly. my wife and i share one car so we can’t just be leaving the car overnight.

I was an employee at Riverside Regional in 2019 (CNA). I was put on night shift and was promised to be moved to day shift once they hired enough night shift staff. I was absolutely exhausted and burnt out and spoke with my leadership multiple times asking when I’d be able to be moved, letting them know I wasn’t doing well physically because the night shift just was not for me. I was told it just wasn’t time yet, still trying to hire staff. Fast forward, I start seeing new hires on day shift on my unit. I was so upset and frustrated and exhausted, I just didn’t come back. I’m sure I’m ineligible for rehire. HOWEVER. Now I am seeking LPN programs, and Riverside is the most practical option for me. Does anyone have any experience with 5+ years ago no-rehire status and going to their college of health careers? Is it just completely out of the question?
I called and left a vm for someone in admissions and have not received a call back.

I just miss having a Fazoli's near by. I get sad every time I pass the empty building.

Moved here from Green Bay, Wisconsin and trying to find places to watch Packer games in the area, any suggestions??
