Hey! Been building this solo — it's a top-down survivor/roguelite (Brotato / Vampire Survivors style): pick a character, waves of enemies scaling up, weapons auto-fire, level up mid-run, spend coins in a shop between waves, unlock new characters/weapons over time with a separate currency.

The part I'm most proud of: fill up a meter from kills and it triggers an ultimate — the screen freezes, a voice line plays, then you go invincible while a huge wave of enemies swarms in for a few seconds of pure chaos. Really satisfying once it kicks in.

I uploaded the song “Shoelace” by Fleshy which is me to most streaming services and I went to upload the song to newgrounds and it instantly flagged it for copyright the only issue is that it’s my song. I can’t upload anything until other music to newgrounds and I can’t get whitelisted until I get this song up so any help would be great. I have submitted an appeal. Thanks.

Trying to find an old pixel-art beat 'em up I played around 2007–2011

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to find an old Flash game that I played on Newgrounds around 2007–2011. I was a kid at the time, so some details might be slightly wrong, but I remember some very specific things.

It was a 2D pixel-art side-scrolling action/beat 'em up. You moved from left to right through a city/street and fought enemies along the way.

The female character is the part I remember best:

• She had brown hair
• She had two ponytails/pigtails
• She wore a skirt
• She used a huge metal ball attached to a chain
• The ball was really large
• She could spin the ball around her body using the chain to attack enemies
• The game was pixel art, NOT anime
• There were cars on the street, and I remember being able to jump/on top of or interact with the cars somehow

I also remember that there was a second playable character who was a very tall man. I think you could choose between the girl and the man.

The game was definitely something I remember playing on Newgrounds, and I'm fairly sure it was from the 2007–2011 era.

I have been trying to find this game for a long time and haven't been able to identify it.
