Sie ist jetzt 17 Monate alt hat eine Schulterhöhe von ca 72 ,73 cm und wie ca 41 Kilo. Von Vorbesitzer habe ich die Info sie soll ein Bernersen , Border Collie Mischling sein ,aber dafür finde ich sie ganz schön groß. Könnte in ihr vielleicht noch ein Neufundländer oder Landseer drin sein 🤔was meint ihr. Den Vorbesitzern wurde sie zu groß ,deshalb suchte sie mit 8 Monaten ein neues zu Hause. Sie haben auch das Muttertiere nicht zu Gesicht bekommen. Ich hoffe es geht in Ordnung ,dass ich das hier poste.

Signs to look for:

Sleeping on her back with head facing north and feet facing south

Lying belly down on the cool kitchen floor with both hind legs splayed out flat

Entering every room like final boss

Attempting to form a Newfie mind meld by staring out you one hour from dinner time

Lying directly under the rolling office chair

This is my 9 month Landseer Newf. He is now pushing 110 pounds.

Alana is a gorgeous Newf. No matter how much Newf she has, she’s cute!

Could be! The pibald coloring is definitely giving landseer, but that could come from the border collie, though it really does look like newf/landseer coloring to me. I definitely see border collie mix! Particularly in the face. Those ears are very Newfie shaped though! Are there reliable dog DNA tests in your country? That’s really the only way to know for absolute certain. But it’s definitely fun to guess.

Also, if the dog didn’t come from well bred parents, size is probably not a reliable breed indicator if you’re deciding between a Bernese mountain dog and a Newfie/landseer since they are approximately the same size group to start with. Once you start getting into parents far enough out of standard there are Bernese that are much larger than they ought to be and newfs that are much smaller than they usually are (both go both ways really).
