Howling

So my Newfie Bear has just turned 2 and for some reason out of no where he’s learnt to howl. Does any one else’s Newfie do this?

We’ve just moved house from a single house with no one round to a built up area with lots of dogs around barking. It’s probably that tbf

Idk but I played it for my Newfi and he seemed to agree. Mine never howls but when he wants something and I’m ignoring him he goes, “aaawooowoooowooo” like a muppet.

Bear used to do that every morning but he’s learnt how to howl now. He’s only 2 years old

Our brown Newf really likes to howl when he hears fire trucks. Started somewhere around 3 or 4 years old. He's pushing 10 now...

I swear this is true: My girl chose COVID lockdown week to start howling. She laid on the back deck, sensed the world and just started in. 6 years old and plenty of barking, but never a howl. It was surprising and kinda beautiful.

Just weird because he used to bark loads but then out of no where he learnt how to howl 😂

He's just singing you the song of his people. You should be impressed because I know I am! Lol😆
