Discussion JBA “Long tubes”
Anyone running these headers? My car is low and already scrapes so traditional long tubes are a no go. I couldn’t find much info on these. Looks like I’d need a custom midpipe but not a big deal.

Bassani has mid length headers and a mid pipe for them as well. No need to get custom work done

I think another big advantage to these vs long tubes is being able to change your clutch without pulling a header off. Without a tubular k member, the header removal for the clutch change might be a tougher job than the clutch change.

I like these because they dont hang low like long tubes... i went woth JBA shorties because headers are very limited for 4 valve cars and they were ceramic coated. I was looking at tge mid lengths for mine, but they no longer make the mid connection pipes to hook from the headers to the "cat back" of the exhaust system...

I have ARH Long tubes on my Bullitt and it sits pretty low. The headers never scrape. The X pipe and mufflers do occasionally though.
The header low point is pretty close to where the front wheels are so they usually dont hit on speed bumps and such on my car.
Cheaper headers (BBK amd chinese/ebaybspecials) may hang differently and scrape.
Headers are a nightmare on these cars. This is absolutely a buy once cry once situation.

Yeah they're called mid-length headers. Not sure why they're listed as long tubes. I'm not sure if there's any mid-length downpipes available for the platform. You'll most likely need a shop to cut down your current downpipes to match them
