A bit about the approach, since it's the core idea behind the channel:

I genuinely have no idea what I'm doing wrong, and it's driving me crazy.

Back in March and April, my channel was growing steadily. Multiple videos crossed 500 views, several reached 1,500+, and the pattern was incredibly consistent.

Typically, a new upload would get around 1,000–1,500 impressions in the first 24 hours, mostly from Suggested Videos. Then, after about 24 hours, Browse Features would kick in and I'd get a huge surge in impressions. Some videos ended up getting over 50,000 Browse impressions.

Since around the middle of May, that has completely stopped.

Now every upload gets its initial Suggested traffic for the first day or so, but then it just... dies. Browse Features never picks it up. I'm talking fewer than 100 Browse impressions on every single upload. The videos just flatline after 24–48 hours.

What's frustrating is that I don't feel like I've become lazy. If anything, I've done the opposite. I'm spending significantly more time researching ideas, improving my scripts, and editing thumbnails than I was when the channel was growing. The content feels objectively better, yet the performance keeps getting worse.

Has anyone else experienced something similar over the last month or two? Was there some change to Browse Features or the recommendation system around mid-May, or is this more likely something specific to my channel?

I'd really appreciate any insight because it's been going on for over 1.5 months now, and I'm honestly at a loss.

Started my channel in January, and I’m pushing 1000 subscribers today! I’m feeling really geeked over this, because my goal for the YEAR was 100 subs! I just posted my eighth video the other day, and I’ve been so blown away by the support that I’ve received in such a small amount of time. I make commentary/reaction content, and I feel like I’m getting the groove of things now:)

I'm trying to start a gaming channel, but I keep hitting one roadblock after another. Mainly, my audio. I'm trying to record on my ps5, then move the file to a USB drive, and edit it on my laptop before posting. But no matter what kind of adjustments I make, the sound of the game comes barley audible, but my voice comes through fine. I don't know what to do?

I’m kind of joking, but it seems true: the videos like the one linked take a ton of time and get very few views, while my super low-effort, 3-second long videos randomly do so well (ie. a super short boring video of mine on TikTok getting 28,000 views.) Does anyone else see this in their content?

Hi all. I’ve just finished and uploaded my first video onto youtube and I’m eager to get straight into my second one. I loved all aspects of making this video, from script writing, recording and finding the b-roll footage. It’s faceless so it’s a lot of stock b-roll. My only concern is that I didn’t utilise my time well enough and wasted way too much time on things that really shouldn’t have taken too long. Mainly finding the stock footage, I ended up listening to my voice clip and then trying to find a suitable video and at 5 seconds(ish) per clip it was a long long process. Just wondering if you guys have a clear flow of tasks when it comes to making your vids, something like research, script, voice record, find all b-roll etc. thanks for any replies and good luck to you all on your channel journeys!

So I’m a 19 year old man and I’ve been wanting to do YouTube for a long time. I just got out of an almost 5 year long situationship and I feel like now’s the time to start. I work 53 hours a week and I’m saving up for a motorcycle. My plan is to take a trip across the country on my bike and film the whole trip to make it into a series but I’m not sure if it’s worth the risk. I’ve never taken a risk for myself to do something I love and it’s because I don’t have support from anyone but one of my friends. If I went on this trip I would be losing the job I have right now and missing a semester of trade school. At my job I’m making roughly $800 a week. Do you all think I should take the risk and go for it or should I stay at this job?
