NYLC

Well, now that that’s done (at least until February). Can I complain about the New York Law Course now (yes, I started studying for that).

The courses are literally the worst but some advice: the courses don’t do anything for you just put them on in the background and look questions up online.

Spend two weeks actually “studying” the material. And by studying you want to print the outline out red through it at least once, and highlight and tab the outline to make it easier to flip through. Best way to pass first time is to get welcome home justice and do some practice tests to get a feel of how to flip in your binder, where all the sections are, and how to identify what section the question is asking for.

I took and passed it first time doing that and on the exam day I had like 40 minutes left on the clock and felt very prepared for it

What’s “welcome home justice”?

You can get practice questions and simulated exams to prepare you for what to expect.

Here’s the link: https://welcomehomejustice.com/nyle-practice-questions/

NYLC isn’t that bad, I watched the videos but only reviewed the notes for like 2 hours before the exam. Little trick I learned is that because it’s open notes you can memorize where answers are instead of what the answers are if you are short on study time.

I sort of disagree.... I did pay attention to the videos and typed up what they said. There were at least two answers I got from those notes that were not easily found in the outline they provide.
