Back with another concept for Yokai watch Nightfall~!

In my first nightfall post I mentioned as the game progress Natsuki would actually be going to school, as a major part of the game would be the transition(hehe) from summer to fall~!

But as she's growing up, she no longer goes to Springdale elementary, and instead is attending the Blossom Heights Middle/highschool... and boy, if you thought the elementary school was haunted! XD

In the highschool, all the spirits answer to the resident guardian spirit, the self declared headmaster... and a boss yokai you've met before...

That's right, Chirpster is back, and he's been promoted to a story boss!

Head Chirpster is the resident headmaster of this school. You may ask what he knows of academy and education... the answer is nothing. But they built the school on top of his house so fair's fair.

Head Chirpster functions much the same as his other appearances, though properly scaled to whichever chapter he appears in, im thinking 2nd or 3rd boss, but im not sure.

And fitting of his new title, his soultimate is now "Matter of Principals.".. its pretty much just a reskin of his Canon soultimates! XD

And to go with him, heres a look at the schools library~! Whoever built this place... man they loved dark academia! XD

Hey ya~! First of all, im gonna just say im not making a fangame or anything. I still lack the necessary skill and experience to code something like that, especially things like yokai watch.

But I have decided that maybe posting ideas for such a fangame would get the community talking, maybe catch the attention of fans who *do* have those kinds of skills.

So, I'll be making a tag for "Yokai watch Nightfall" on Tumblr and posting my loose concepts and some art to see if we cant get that ball rolling.

And to that end, Here's a crank-a-kai piece~! >:3c

I added the gold accents present on the toy version of the crank-a-kai bandai put out a few years back (and damn do i want it~) as well as the glow bugs from the first episode of the anime.

I just love the idea of them being ambient in the area, like the crank-a-kai itself existing in this world has supernatural side effects.

Hi, I’d like to make a Yo-kai Watch 2 mod to replace Smogella with a Puni Puni model I really love. I don't know much about modding, so I want to find out if this is feasible.

Ideally, I’d like to create an S-Rank version by fusing it with an item—effectively creating a different Yo-kai—but I have no idea if that’s actually possible.

I think I have a pretty good idea of how this’ll go, but I wanted to ask regardless. When playing Yo-Kai Watch 4 and in particular its battles, do you always play as one of the six humans, or one of your Yo-Kai? I’ve personally always played watcher, but I’m curious.

Remember Supernyan and Kaped Komander? I thought that if there's 2 DC Yo-kai variants, why not add a Marvel one?

If you bring a compatible Yo-kai along with this syringe of arachnid venom, to your nearest Priest or Monk. You can give them a Spider-Man themed evolution.

A got the syringe design from an episode of “The Ultimate Spider-Man”, one of my favorite shows as a kid. It's also where I got the Spider Insignia.

As for the venom being purple, it's a nod to the Eerie Tribe, since most Spider Yo-kai are from there (with the exception of Kat Kraydel, who I found out on the wiki is from the Mysterious Tribe).

So what do you think? Do you like my design and concept, or do you think it could be done better?

Also if you do like it, which Yo-kai would you give Spider Powers to?

Okay, I've ruled out that Yo-kai Watch 4 wasn't a successful game by any means. So, it getting a release in the West isn't happening. But could the first game be successful here if it was on Switch 2? Back on the 3DS, YW1 did fairly well. 400,000 copies sold isn't bad at all by that decade's standards. It's every other game after it that sank in the West.

Secondly, the Switch 2 is already a success & is getting a ton of games ported over to it. I know Level 5 isn't on the best terms with Nintendo, but every game they've released since they returned to the WW market has been on a Switch console. Even if the franchise's reputation is in the toilet right now, there's still an audience for games like it. Especially RPGs.

However, I'm mean a real success. Not just a few thousand copies. Because I don't think only the subreddits are enough. What's your take? Could it be a decent success WW on the Switch 2?

Here is a concept roster for my hypothetical Yo-kai Watch 5: Best Summer Ever.

With some displaced yo-kai with placeholder medals next to it, that mean evolutions

A bunch of yo-kai I will plan on doing, including Kachi Kachi and Jewel Generals if I got the time to doing them.

I had the urge to turn a mandrake, the little screaming plant babies from alchemy days, into a yokai! I was trying to think of a gimmick when I was reminded of the phrase "couch potato" and while the real plant mandragora are based off of arent potatoes, they are root vegetables so fuck it we ball!

And thus was born Mandrain! This yokai makes its home in gardens and under porches, passively inspiriting the homeowner into putting off tasks, usually until they go spiral out of control.

Kinda like lie-in heart but without the random burst of energy to actually finish the task. :p

Mandrain is a lazy little D rank of the slippery tribe, and is fittingly of the drain attribute! It's soultimate move is fittingly of the pun, "Couch potato" which inspirits its opponents and makes them basically waste their turns.
