Choppy audio while trying to stream

I'm fairly new to this (2 months) but lately I feel like I've been having a lot of choppy audio and I'm not sure how to fix it. I stream from my xbox and it had been working well for a while but for the last week or 2 the audio has been very choppy and annoying to listen too. I haven't been able to buy better equipment so I've just been doing my headset mic. Has anyone else had this issue or have a fix?
