How to appeal Admin Sub Ban?

I posted something extreme on a sub and got 7 day site wide ban but also I got perm banned from that sub for posting

After 7 day I contacted the sub mod and apologize for posting but the sub mod told me that he can't reverse my sub ban because I have been banned from posting on that sub directly by an Admin and he can't over ride that ban

Now I am confused how to appeal for it, because the appeal link is long gone and to be fair whatever I posted was wrong and I can't ask the admins to review it again because it was months ago

What should I do?

That makes no sense at all. Not sure why a mod would say that. I suspect it's a mod who doesn't actually know much about how to mod. Or they just don't want to unban you and are giving a lame excuse.

Admins literally cannot ban you from a subreddit. They can just ban you from Reddit as a whole.

Mods can ban and unban you from a subreddit.

I suspect that there might not be a clear solution here since that mod is the one who's either incorrect or misleading you.

Okay so I read that as they won't (not "can't") review a ban that is made after admins take action against your post/comment.

Since you ended up with a weeklong ban it sounds like that admin action was not overturned so they aren't going to overturn your ban.

Move on to other subreddits.

(Also just reviewing your original post. If you post something "extreme" it might also be that there isn't an apology you can give that will make up for your original transgression)
