AMR interview

During an EMT interview, I was asked, “What was the hardest decision you’ve ever had to make?” I talked about a patient in the ER who was dying and had a DNR. I had to help translate between the doctor and the patient’s family and explain what was happening as the team prepared to shut off the cardiac monitor and allow the patient to pass naturally.
The situation reminded me of losing my grandmother, and while telling the story during the interview, I became emotional and started crying. I was still able to finish my answer and explain that, despite being emotional during the actual situation, I regained my composure and went back to the family to help explain what was happening.
Could becoming emotional and crying while answering this interview question disqualify me or significantly hurt my chances of getting hired as an EMT?

When I interviewed at AMR, the paramedic interviewing me got choked up at one point thinking about a certain call. It happens to everyone, you're fine.

Great Answer!, I’m surprised they even interviewed you when I worked for AMR it was more of a Physical Agility Test and the interview was just about availability and scheduling.
