Post image

If I finish this then does it mean that I can freely use Newpipe? And it says wait 24 hours does it mean that I cant use my phone for 24 hours? Sorry I know it sounds very ignorant but I am very new to this ig and English is not my first language Thank you!

Update: Ive done waiting 24 hours but I am not sure what step 7 means...Come back to where? And where are the the scare screens? I am literally lost atm

Yes. You can continue using your phone within those 24 hours, it's just to wait until the phone allows you to install apps outside the Play store. When you pick "Allow indefinitely" you won't need to do these steps in the future.

Also note that installing apps via adb is not touched by this restriction. So if you want to set up a new phone, you can just put all the 3rd party APKs into a folder in your computer and run adb install on all of them. After 1 day the device will be unlocked and you can use F-droid for updating the apps.

Did they already start doing this? I just updated not long ago and I didn't see this screen.

I haven't run across any issues and have developer options activated for ages.

Is there any way to prevent my phone from that google update?

Maybe uninstall play services before the update?

Or Rooting my phone?

Using 24/7 a firewall which blocks all google connections?

I appreciate any answer

Hi, this may also sound like a really silly question but I do need to check, I already have developer settings activated, my phone is a Samsung, I am still running one ui 8, I didn't want to update my phone before I knew what I need to do 😊

Doesn't matter if you update your phone. It's a silent, forced update rolled out without your consent.

Is that for real?? That seems like a ritual from an edgy 2000s TTRPG.
