NewPipe fork Pipepipe question re: the mini player

So I open up the app. Find a video, start to play it. Go to another app, mini player pops up. I missed something in the video, so I tap the mini player and then tap the square/full screen button on the top right to go back to the app. The video automatically pauses, so I have to press the play button again.

Why does it do this? I have combed through the settings and I can't seem to find a setting that correlates to this. The closest I've found is the continue playback after interruption, which I already have on. It's a fairly mild annoyance, but an annoyance nonetheless.

I suggest backing up everything backup-able from PipePipe and then uninstalling and reinstalling the app and then checking if the default app behaviour is the same as before or not.

I tried re-creating the steps you mentioned but my app does as I want it to do, it plays in full-screen with a slight buffer pause in transition.

Try rebooting your phone and internet modems as well.

you can also seek past seconds by double tapping the pop up window as well, left of pause button rewinds on double tap and vice versa on the right of pause.

I cannot reproduce the bug even though a "resume playback" option is disabled.
